Very professional they came on time and packed, loaded and delivered my 3 bedroom house from San Jose to los Gatos in one day. I would highly recommend them to anyone

We just moved 7/28/17. We were moving from a 3 story townhome in WG to a single family residence in Almaden. My realtor Paul Middione suggested Silicon Valley. Cheri Child's the owner did an accurate estimate and sent her A+ crew. Sergio the supervisor is TERRIFIC. I was initially concerned the hourly charge but that included 5 guys and they worked so hard, were efficient, polite, and 90% of boxes went to the right place, beds set up. Our total was under the maximum estimate by 20% (we did a lot of pre-work to help that process-including moving some items a day before with a cargo van ourselves). My only advice is you have to be proactive in communication and expectations, but that's understandable with the crazy season of summer to move. Also staging your boxes in the garage by room will really help save time and stay organized. Also a huge cooler of water as these guys hustle, and togos treat for lunch.  You hear so many bad stories on Moving companies not sending experienced crews or damaging items. Not one issue here with Silicon Valley Moving. Thanks Cheri

I scheduled an in-house estimate with Cheri Childs on February 24th. She confirmed the appointment for 10:00 am on March 1st over the phone as well as over email.On March 1st at 10:40 am, Cheri hadn't shown up for the appointment, and she hadn't called with any updates. I called Silicon Valley Moving & Storage, and was transferred to Cheri. Cheri said the appointment was "not on her calendar", even though she had confirmed it over the phone as well as over email.I'm pretty dubious that someone who can't even keep an initial in-house estimate appointment is someone I would trust with all my belongings for a long-distance move.

I like giving 5 stars, but I just can't do it for this company. They started off very friendly and accommodating. They quoted us 3 hours for $300 something, and $25 for gas which is the minimum time for a one bed apartment, and did all the necessary procedures over the phone without too much hassle. We wanted to do the move earlier during the day (around 8 am) so we could finish early as well, because we plan on going to work after. They called us the day before to confirm the appointment, which I think was VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Little do we know, we were being mislead by all these.Move out day came, and we woke up early to get everything all ready to go once the movers get to our apartment. The estimated start time was between 8 and 9. So we waited... 8:30, still early..we waited a bit more.. 9:00 no show. We called, they said the driver should be there soon. Another estimated time was given.. between 9 and 9:30. 9:15 came, still no show. 9:30, we were getting a little ticked off. We called, and the person on the phone started to sound rattled and can't tell us what's happening. So we waited. AGAIN.. Finally, they came at 10:00. Two freakin' hours of wait. Unacceptable. The driver didn't even apologize for being late. Nor did we hear from the company on why this happened. We were clear over the phone that we need them to be there by 8am. They shouldn't have agreed to this if they wont be able to deliver on what was agreed upon.2 guys came to move our things.  They were very careful , and moved things as fast as they can, but they still went over the 3 hour minimum. It would have been okay for us to pay the extra time, if one of the guys wasn't on his phone too much. He kept calling people and getting phone calls. For me that is a bit unprofessional. We paid extra $100 something for the extra 45 minutes. On my opinion, they shouldn't have done that, considering the fact that they were 2 hours late. We lost hours from work because of this. We still tipped them, but we were not very satisfied of the work done. Oh, just to add this, over the phone we said we have 2 big TVs to move. The movers only brought one TV box. The other one, was just wrapped with a blanket.I don't think I can recommend this place to other people, and will look for another moving company when the need comes up. There was just too many flaws in the process that I can't overlook.

These guys were outstanding to work with.  They were knowledgeable, responsive, efficient and very careful when moving my stuff.  I will definitely call them for my moving needs in the future.  Joe Childs and his team are so friendly and helpful, and very fast and efficient.  A great resource in this area.  Highly recommended.
