Once the movers actually arrived, I didn't have a problem. However, getting someone to show up was a nightmare. I was scheduled for a morning move on a Friday, and given that it was the week after Harvey hit Houston, I wasn't expecting everything to be back at 100% capacity. That, plus my experience with the movers themselves, are the only things saving this from being a 1 star review. My move was delayed three separate times, I had to call them to find out about the delays, as no one reached out, and as far as their customer service goes, when I called to reschedule to the next day because my morning move wasn't going to happen at 5:30 p.m., the guy in their office gave me the number of the movers and told me to call them myself. When I asked why he wouldn't be communicating the change in plans to them, he replied, "it's your move and they're your movers dude," which not only felt inaccurate, but definitely was incredibly rude after a day of the company never once reaching out to let me know how behind schedule they were. However, the movers themselves (Troy) were great, efficient, and careful with my items. They definitely saved this review.

5 stars are not enough to describe how good they are and if your smart and want to choose the best movers in the valley then pick Eric and LT of Apartment movers. You will get 2 professionals who are courteous punctual efficient and honest. They get there and get it done charge you the right price with no damages and no tricks or hidden fees .They moved me from a 3400 sq foot home to a 3000 sq ft townhome so dont let the word apartment fool you. They can do it all and very well. Best movers I ever used in my 55 years from the East coast to. The West coast and all points in between

It's amazing that this company is still in business. Unprepared, unprofessional and extremely disrespectful is the way I would describe my experience with The Apartment Movers. We had scheduled a Friday move, which they had to cancel and told us they couldn't make it until Saturday but instead of asking us they had the audacity to challenge us and question our prior engagements and appointments. Since we felt we didn't have any other option we agreed to the Saturday move. On Saturday they were late, lacking proper moving supplies and equipment. Using our judgement, we told them that with out the equipment, they will not be moving us, for the safety of the movers and our furniture. When we called back to the dispatcher he asked to talk with the crew and at that time we could over hear him say "Do you see what I am dealing with?" At this point we had enough and excused the movers and cancelled our move with this company.

Worst. Company. Ever. I was surprised because we've used them before and didn't have a single complaint. I called to reserve a truck to move my family and I from Houston to Austin. The first question I asked was were they able to move from house to house and they said yes. The 1st woman I spoke to wanted me to tell her everything I was bringing over the phone. I was driving at the time and asked her to email me an inventory sheet for me to fill out. She sent it, I filled it out, and I emailed it back to the woman. We spoke the next day and she gave me a quote. I did a little shopping around to see how much other companies were charging and only one other company matched their price, but since I've used them before I went with them. BIG MISTAKE. I was told the movers would arrive between 7-9a. I wasn't on any time constraint so I was ok with that. About 8a the mover calls to tell me they'd be there about 9:30. I got another call around 10 saying they were stuck in traffic and another call around 10:30 saying they put in the wrong address. I still had some light packing and last minute visiting I needed to do so I didn't care. They showed up about 11:30/11:45 with a busted trailer that amateur circus acts travel the country in. The 2 movers walked around the house to see what they needed to move. One of the guys told me he wasn't sure if everything would fit. (You don't say?!) I had a fridge that wasn't on the inventory sheet so if it needed to stay then so be it. I was so confused as to why they sent me a trailer and not a truck as promised. I called the company to  find out why they didn't send a truck and they told me I would get more footage using the flatbed of the truck and the overhead in the trailer. Huh? I wish they would have told me that in the beginning! I called the NBC consumer unit to file a report. A woman from the main office called me once they found out I called NBC to let me know they recorded my phone conversation. (That was great news because now we could get to the bottom of this.) The woman said she listened to the recording and said I agreed to a smaller truck. I told them I wanted to listen to it and they put me hold for 10 minutes and transferred me to someone else. Guess what? They never produced the audio! They were wrong and they know they were wrong! It was a 3 1/2 hour drive. The movers didn't show up at the new house until almost 10 and didn't finish until close to 1am. I'm still unpacking boxes that have broken items in it. If I could give this company 0 stars I would.

For the ONE time I did not consult Yelp prior to doing something, it sounds like I dodged a bullet on this one. I had my assistant call for movers, and she came up with this place as being the most reasonable.  She called to schedule the move after I gave her the okay, and had a date scheduled.  They said they needed a $45 deposit to hold the date.  Since the cc was in my name, they needed me to call to confirm, although they RAN the card prior to getting my consent.  I called and spoke to Pearla, and they said they COULD NOT give me a definite time! They should give me a window from 10-3, and that was it.  BUT OH wait, they would call me before hand so I wouldn't be waiting around? Excuse me?  Now, I have moved more times than I can imagine both for corporate and residential moves and have never been told this.  She also told me that anything over 2 hours they prorate every 10 minutes? When I asked her to explain this, she said she didn't know what that meant.  She also said she had to speak to her boss about basically every question I had.  When I told her that the company sounds very disorganized, and that I needed an exact time that the movers would be there, and wanted my $45 refunded, she said no, they don't do that.  Excuse me?  I asked my assistant if she was told that, and she said no.  After going back and forth, I ended up hanging up telling them to keep my $45, it wasn't worth it.  SOOOOO glad I did not go with this company after reading the reviews!
