Do not hire , I would not recommend at all They started good then they really got slow paying 150 per hour 8.5 hours it took with 4 guys $ 1723.00I had to pay 150.00 then the clock will start 80 for plastic wrap and 208 for gas it was only 4 miles away ,they took 45 minutes lunch break while on clock .... to top it off They would not unload the rest of the furniture till I paid first ..... be aware .

This is a terrible company that should be shut down. Their prices are cheap by having zero customer service and hiring the cheapest labor. The management needs a serious education in basic dignity. Please look elsewhere for a moving company.

I would like to give this company a rating below 0 just to start. We are frequent movers and have used Costa Mesa Moving Company for our last three moves. Two bedroom apartments on the second floors, nothing broken, everything moved within 7 hours, beds set up, wardrobe boxes provided -we empty - boxes  are returned. Boxes we packed all in the designated rooms. Moving Stars shows up for our latest move, and I questioned who they were and why they were moving us. They said apparently Costa Mesa  Moving  Company must have been too busy and they were called to move us. I didn't understand and called Our regular company but a mistake was made and we did not call them. My husband called Costa Mesa Movers which apparently is a referral service and our move was designated to Moving Stars. My husband asked them if they were the company that moved us before and he was told yes and that we would get discount for being a regular customer. THEY NEVER MOVED US BEFORE. They took 2 DAYS TO MOVE US FROM A 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT!  22 Hours!  They used my tape and scissors and I built the wardrobes that they purchased from Home Depot that morning. They had none of the proper equipment to move furniture and complained about how heavy our furniture was - they preferred IKEA furniture. They could not fit all the boxes in the truck and did not use quilts or shrink wrap to move our expensive wood Thomasville furniture. Almost every piece of furniture is damaged plus many broken items in boxes. A leather chair was forced through a doorway resulting in two scraped sides on the wood and the leather scratched and scraped on both sides. Before they would leave at midnight the first night, with boxes and furniture still on the truck and more stuff still left at the other apartment, we were presented with a bill that was THREE times what we paid for any of our other moves. And they were told not to give us our furniture off the truck or complete the move the next day until we had paid or they would call the police!  My husband was able to speak with Sean the rep for CA and it was agreed it would be sorted out the next day. The mover did return and it took ANOTHER 7 hours just to get the remainder of the furniture into our new place. THEN THEY WANTED US TO PAY FOR THE ADDITIONAL DAY'S WORK!!  At that point I was looking at so much damage I was crying - my husband spoke to Andrew at the headquarters as Sean was nowhere to be found - and after a very horrible exchange agreed on a price much more than we had ever paid before for the same furniture and possessions to move. I realized I would never get any compensation for my ruined furniture and the company was so miserable I wouldn't even want to talk to them again so I did not make a claim. I really feel like the company in crooked and that they hired completely unprofessional and incompetent movers. BEWARE!!  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MOVING STARS MOVING COMPANY !!!!!!

My advice -DON"T DO IT! DO NOT HIRE. Save yourself the time and aggravation by NOT using this moving company. I contracted them for a simple local move in the Los Angeles area. The driver and helper were initially over an hour late. The driver had a major attitude and was very combative throughout the entire day. He was very disrespectful and did not take direction or have concern about my moving needs at all. I ultimately sought the assistance of Headquarters on numerous occasions throughout the day. They overcharged, worked at a snails pace, damaged my property, ignored my repeated requests for claims and customer service. It honestly got to the point I felt so threatened by their staffers, I found myself seeking police advice/intervention. To date, they have not honored promises and/or commitments.

I would absolutely recommend  Moving Stars Inc. without any question. They demonstrated their skill in all through the moving procedure. All their movers were courteous, helpful and professional in all their interactions.They took exceptional care of my belongings, even helped setting up furniture and moved things around from where I originally asked stuffs to be positioned. I moved at a busy time of year, but as I knew they would be taking care, that allowed me to concentrate on the upcoming festival with no stress from the move.Excellent team.....excellent service.....excellent rate, I've ever had!
