I have moved for a few times now due to the nature of my job, but it was always within the city boundaries. For the first time I had to move to another state, and I was out of options. My reliable moving company turned out to unreliable when they told me they did not offer interstate moving services. I was in trouble until one of their representatives suggested me to try Moving Stars Inc. While the two companies are not affiliated, I decided to give Moving Stars Inc. a try based on their recommendation.I gave them a call and explained my requirements to them. The representative explained the procedure and inquired about the stuff that I wanted to move. He assisted me in scheduling my move very nicely while removing all my doubts. I have to admit, I was scared as this was my first 'long distance move', and I was trying a new company for the first time. Nonetheless, I was quite satisfied after my conversation with the rep.My expectations was quite high, and fortunately they exceeded them at all intervals. The movers came on time and packed the items carefully. I noticed they used a different technique due to the distance involved. They also prepared a list of all the items and gave me the opportunity to oversee and double check everything.The moving crew was quiet and polite. They were very good workers and weren't slackers. They did the work quickly, which I was very concerned about as my previous company had some lazy workers. They did their job well and helped me unpack.Our move worked out well. I believe I'll be using Moving Stars Inc. for all kind of moves from now on.

Terrible, these obvious Drug Addict Movers ripped us off 700 for 3 hours. They threw my boxes in my storage and staked mattresses on my brand new couch, ripping it!! And left their monster energy drink cans in my storage unit. We are struggling as it is, and i am filing a complaint with BBB! -Amanda

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Now that I have yelled, I will explain. I wish there was a negative rating but one star is the lowest I can go.I contacted this company based on the recommendation from a co-worker of my girlfriend. I read the reviews and it seemed comparable with most of the other moving companies. I got a quote and it was reasonable and a little better than most of the others. The problem began on the day of the move. The driver called at 9:10 (arrival time was between 9-10 am) and stated he was having difficulties and his helper did not show up. (We had requested a two person move). When he arrived at 10:05, and exited the truck, he was dirty, from head to toe, his clothes were disheveled and his shoes were torn. (I work downtown LA and the first thought was that he was a homeless person.) He also smell like...can't say on Yelp, but you know what I mean. Long story short, he later told me that he was homeless and thathis "helper" he picked up from Home Depot. He also asked to "borrow" money to buy cigarettes, got lost (luckily we were following him), and ran over my neighbors lawn. I could not read his handwriting and because he was so late, there were other people at the house when I arrived, but he added a tip to the final bill. I have been trying for a week to get someone from their company to call back, but all I get is there is no one at the office. I spoke to one "supervisor' who stated he would tell the California dispatcher, but as of yet no one has called me back. Don't make the mistake I did...

Like many of the other reviewers on here, I do not recommend this company.  They're terrible at protecting your personal property. They damaged a lot of furniture and also damaged our new home.  We have dents and scratches on our wood floors, walls, ceilings, and window shutters.  They also left trash at our old home. The crew left behind balled up stretch wrap film, and the empty rolls. We called and wanted to speak to Andrew, the manager, but the receptionist told us to e-mail the pictures to file a claim.  We e-mailed them and it's been almost 2 weeks and have not heard back from them at all.  The weird thing is I wanted to use a company I found on google that had great reviews (H-town Movers) but somehow got connected with this company.  Bottom line- DO NOT USE THEM!

I have nothing but high praise, compliments, and opinions of Eddie McClintock and Joseph with Moving Stars, Inc.They came in and handled everything with the care and precision as if it was their own belongings. They stayed until the job was done and didn't complain about my over the top requests.Eddie even went above and beyond any mover I've ever used. He deserves a raise!I highly recommend requesting Eddie McClinton and Joseph if you're in the Houston area.
