My true rating would definitely be a 0!!! I left a review a few months back and saw that it was removed. The message from Yelp on whether or not I posted on the correct listing  went to my junkmail and I didn't see it until today. Marlon was nice at first but after having items damaged and stolen he became very rude. I did not get any resolution from this company and his attitude changed drastically when I called to follow up.  Mike was the guy who moved my items and I feel he did a good job BUT his partner was new, wore a different moving  company's shirt and dropped a few of my boxes causing dishes to break, damaged a bookcase and a bracelet, among other things were missing from a few of the totes. You see, there was a point during the move when Mike stayed on the porch and the other guy was in the back of the truck for bit due to the rain. My advise is to go through ALL of the boxes containing valuables and make sure they're there, examine each piece of furniture BEFORE signing the contract at the end. It was raining on and off the day my stuff was delivered and the guys were in a rush, I don't remember signing away their responsibility for items damaged or stolen. I called and was told an insurance claim would be filed, I heard from a man (who no longer works for the company) once through email and when I called to follow up was told he quit and my contract wasn't on file. When I asked to speak to a manager marlon became rude and said there was only him and the owner and if I wanted to speak to the owner I would have to do so through correspondence. I've chosen to go through the BBB instead.

Movers showed up two hours late with a trailer that was not big enough to fit my entire house into it. Also I had to go get cash as they didn't have a credit card machine like I was told. I told the man on the phone I had a three bedroom house and he told me they'd be there at 9am. Day before another woman called to confirm and said they would be there at 9am. Day of move 10am comes and no movers. Called and was told they should be pulling up. Didn't show until 11am. Lead guy Mike was nice and very efficient. His two helpers were not. They didn't speak any English and you had to watch them. They almost unhooked washer without turning off valve.  Overall they move itself was efficient and smooth once they showed up but they were late and didn't get all my stuff. I had to waste half a day the next day to go back and get the rest of my stuff.

Great people. My husband and I have used them 2-3 times over the years to move from apartment to apartment, to, finally, house. They're on time, and get the job done fast and respectfully. They even moved me and my roommate during a downpour. I'm sure there are cheaper options, but I think having trustworthy movers is worth the extra cost.  I would definitely call them if we ever need to move again.

This was the worst moving experience because of this company. Three months after my move I've finally finished repairing and buying new things that were broken or destroyed during the move. I moved in the beginning of October. Apparently, the company outsources during peak times, which is why they can provide service with only 24 hour notice. My move was outsourced. I asked to start moving around 11 am, so they gave me an 11-1 window. The movers went to the wrong address which was an hour away. I started moving my own stuff by myself to the curb instead of just siting around. When they showed up around 2:30, I felt like I needed to watch everything the 2 guys did! They looked like they were pulled off the street because they had signs that said "will work for beer/dope money." My last move, with the same amount of stuff took 1 hour. They took over 2 hours to load the truck, and that was after I brought all of my boxes and end tables to the curb! One of them was essentially useless and stayed in the truck rearranging things. Items that should have been a team lift, like my washer and dryer, one of them tried to carry down himself! I was being charged an hourly rate, so I started getting I them about it. They started giving me this weird meaning of life speech and telling me to just calm down. It was a hour drive to my new location. Again it took them 2 hours and they showed up with mcdonalds. Apparently, I pay for their dinner break?? I was angry when I saw that and got on them about time I was paying for. They refused to take anything out of the truck before getting my card for payment, then I waited around while they had to call the card in, easily a 20-30 minute process that I was paying for. Again, one guy did all the work while the other shuffled around in the truck or brought up one small box at a time. The guy who was working, knew I was mad and started saying "well fine just don't tip me then. I mean, I basically work for tips, but fine." He wouldn't shut up about getting tipped! In the end, my bureau and bookshelves all had paint coming off of them. The arm of my couch is now wobbly and they left my apartment with my sectional couch and canopy bed unassembled. I also had to unwrap my bureau myself, when I did a corner was broken off of it. The worst part was that when I tried to reassemble my canopy bed, I realized that the parts weren't all taken out of the truck. I called the company to see if they could find it and told them how awful my experience was. They said they would never outsource to them again and try to find the piece to my bed. They found it the next day and said they would mail it out, but 3 months later it was still undelivered. I was sick of not being able to assemble my bed so I had to find someone who could custom make the part of my bed that was still missing in order to finally put my bed together. I chose this place because of the great reviews, but it was nothing but a hot mess!

DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVER!I am very, very disappointed with the moving service provided by Gonzalez and his team mate on 4/20/15. I had been informed by Beth at A1 that Pedro and his team mate, who are A1′s employees would do the move. I had received a call on the morning of the move from Gonzalez asking if the move time could be moved up to earlier, even though I had informed Beth when I had scheduled the move, that since the leasing office at the apartment complex that I was moving into opened only at 10 a.m., and there was paperwork that needed to be completed prior to me getting the keys, that the move had to start at 11 a.m. Beth had assured me that the movers would be at the loading site at 11 a.m. When I called A1′s office after this, Marlin answered the phone. He claimed that on the Sat. before, Pedro had taken off for 4/20/15. Marlin also claimed that Gonzales and his team mate were A1 employees and NOT movers that A1 contracted out. I had specifically asked him and he had informed me that they were A1 employees. However, they did not come with a truck that was labeled as A1, neither were they uniformed. He informed me that it was his trailer and not A1′s. It was a trailer that was hitched to a pickup truck! Gonzalez rolled my desk chair and filing cabinet over the concrete, rather than picking them up and carrying them, or placing them on a dolly and rolling the dolly! He moved my new washing machine with the power cord dragging on the floor. When I brought it to his attention and picked up the cord myself, from the floor, he smiled mockingly, which gave me the impression that he knew that it was dragging, he just did not care!His team mate (did not note his name, was also of Hispanic ethnicity), brought my large wooden entertainment center on a small dolly and then could not keep it down on the floor where I wanted it in the apartment because both of them should have brought it in over a low 4 wheeled cart (in the way that they had loaded it while I was watching them, I could not watch them unload as I had to be inside the apartment, showing them what goes where). He then asked me to push one end of it down to keep it on the floor! I informed him that I had fallen a few years back and my spine was hurt, and that I was not going to do it. That is why I hired movers! When I stepped out to inform Gonzalez that his team mate needed his help right away, he gave me that same mocking smile again! At 1 time he stayed in his trailer, folding his blankets, while the move was being done only by 1 person, while I was charged for the service of 2 people! Only after I told him that he also should be moving the things, did he continue!He ripped my garment bags and did not even apologize!Only after they left did I notice that the paint on the side of my fairly new dryer had got scraped off! I was not like that before the move on 4/20/15.DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY!
