I have been moved by iApartments AKA Exodus Moving 4 times, today will make the 5th. Though I can't speak for the apartment seeking services, but I know it can get you a free move! The movers disassemble and reassemble my big furniture with their own tools and have never lost any pieces or damaged anything. They have always been quick, careful, smart about their job and nice and not to mention the cheapest move in the DFW. Period. For this move I tried to use another company with a groupon deal because I thought I was saving money. I was wrong. That company tried to give me hidden charges all over the place; so I cancelled and called Exodus the afternoon before move day. They were kind enough to schedule me for the next day AND I saved over $60 of what the total would have been with the Groupon company I initially tried. I will never try to use another company again.

Their customer service was great. They made everything easy and understandable. The movers were on time and very cool, friendly and very careful with my stuff. Everything was done in a timely manor and over all I was very satisfied with their service. When I move again I'll be calling them again.

This company is owned by the same guy, Bobby, that owns i-Apartment Locating Service; so if you used i-Apartment Locating and their "free move" service, Exodus Moving will be your movers.  I had made an appointment for them to move me and when it was 30 minutes past the appointment time, I called the office.  The office manager told me they would be there shortly...this was repeated over the next two hours until they they finally did arrive.   They were absolutely terrible, had a very bad attitude and refused to wrap my furniture with shrink wrap or blankets and then turned a two hour move into a four hour move.  One of the movers was Mexician and he did about 90% of the work. The other two black men didn't do anything but stand around and talk and complain.  On the way to my new location, they took  a very long unecessary route and even stopped for lunch at McDonald's and then tried add that time into their move time.  I had followed them and had to sit and wait in my car until they were done eating at McDonald's.One of black men was in charge and before they unloaded my items, he tried to get me to pay for a four hour move with my credit card.  I said I would only pay for a two hour move since two of them hardly did any work and for the stop at McDonald's.  He said they would not unload my items until I paid them.  I called the owner, Bobby, and he told them to unload my items; they finally did and that was when I realized that numerous items were broken and scratched.  I refused to pay them and called the Bobby again. I told him what happened and I wanted him to come to my house and see damage they had done.  He said he would call me back but never did.  I kept calling him he would not answer the phone.  The guy in charge became very belligerant and started yelling at me in the front yard of my house. I repeated to him that I was not going to pay them until the Bobby came and saw the damage they had done to my items. He called Bobby and apparently Bobby was telling him not to leave without getting my credit card info or he would not pay them. At this point the guy in charge got very aggressive, yelling at me then got up in my face and I thought he was going to hit me; telling me they were not going to leave until I gave him my credit card info.  At that point I told him to get off my property - he refused to leave and he started making a scene, yelling at me as loud as he could in a threatening manner.  A couple of my new neighbors came out of their houses to see what was going on.  I called the Garland Police who arrived in just a few minutes.  When they saw the police coming, they got in their van and took off.  The police took off after them, caught them and brought them back to my property to sort out what happened. I showed the officer the damage done and told him that they tried to overcharge me and one was getting violent and refused to get off my property.  The officer told them to leave and that if they came back on my property, they would be arrested for trespassing. They left and later I spoke to their office manager and told her everything that had transpired and emailed her photos of my damaged items.  She started arguing with me, defending the movers.  I told her I was not going to pay the company until I found out how much the cost was to repair my damaged items; but I was not going to do anything untiI Bobby came over and looked at all the damage.  I never hear back from them.I would certainly recommend those looking to have their furniture moved to choose another mover as I sure would not want the nightmare I went through to happen to someone else.

I was referred to Exodus by a friend with good intentions, but little did I know that it would result in a headache. Beforehand moving day, I double-checked on an estimate for a 1-bedroom apartment move. I was told that it would be a discounted promotional rate of $80/hour. Not too bad, and though I had other options that have proven to be professional and reliable, I went with her recommendation this time.  Sure they broke a dish or two, but that wasn't my issue. That can happen during a move. My issue was the fact that they added a third mover and included a driving fee (never mentioned until payment time). What was expected to be no more than a 2-hour move ended up costing me double that. Though the driving distance was only a few miles, there was an unexpected marathon that blocked off half the city that day. I told the movers that they were free to take their own route to get around it all. Still it took about an extra hour and half of my time and extra fees to cover it. Initially no adjustments were made, but after contacting the owner about the extra unexpected fees I was offered reimbursement for the difference. Of course, this would have rectified the situation had I actually been reimbursed on time. It was not until two weeks later that the difference was finally credited. Not worth the amount of stress. In the words of my mama: you better shop around!

In summary: I would give it zero stars if I could. Don't use this company. The experience made me lose faith in humanity. FYI one of the mover's names was Gustavo. For the truly interested:They were 40 minutes late and unapologetic for my time wasted. They did not treat any of my goods with any respect. The mattress was dragged across the floor. They accidentally dropped my tv stand and tried to cover it up by saying it was just a little scratch. I heard them drop it and ran over to see the whole unit had been dropped on the floor on one of its corners and one of the drawers cracked from the impact. I asked them to turn it up on its side to take pictures (although they had already hid it in the corner of the storage unit). That's when they handed me the agreement form (which I had yet to sign) of their policy stating that for every pound they would be willing to refund $0.06. The policy itself is outrageous but it was the mover's attitude towards the whole incident that drove me up the wall. The whole time I felt like I had to watch them because I knew they wouldn't treat my property with care. When they dropped the media center, they were trying to cover it up and pressuring me to take a discounted rate for their service. I am confident they would not have told me about it if I hadn't been there to witness the event myself. I requested to speak to their manager, Bobby, but he was absolutely uninterested in my predicament, saying the mover should be able to handle this situation and hung up. Because I was getting nowhere with management, I decided to accept  their offer of $40 off their services of $220 for 2hrs 3 miles away.
