Literally the same thing as everyone else. They quoted us one thing and we got charged an additional $1,000 when they came to pick up our stuff. This is the worst company. They have no one to talk to after five o'clock. They said certain things were included and when the driver came now its not. Please don't use this company!!!!!

The company was prompt but that is the only thing they did well. The biggest problem with them was that there were a lot of hidden fees and the movers that picked up and dropped off my stuff were very unprofessional. They tried to charge me for things I was already charged for and added things not on my invoice. My invoice stated my first flight of stairs was free that, but they claimed that only applied to the first 7 steps of my flight which was no where in the invoice. They also tried to charge me extra for distance between where their truck is parked and my apartment which was also no where on the invoice. The problem is that the receptionists there are not trained well b/c initially I was dealing with Shannon but when I could not get a hold of her and briefly spoke to someone else, they claimed they always tell their customers this however Shannon had claimed before that she had never heard of being charged for steps.   When I refused or claimed I would call the company the movers stated they would "overlook" these fees if I tipped them well. I told the company this and they said yes, "just help them out a little" indicating they were colluding together to try to get more money out of the customers.When my things arrived at my new apartment, the driver was extremely rude and tried to charge me for my stairs though I showed him on my invoice that I was already charged for it. I tried to call the manager Jeremy, but that was not helpful because he did not take any time to pull up my invoice to see that I was already charged for the stairs. He hung up on me twice when I tried to resolve the issue and stopped picking up afterwards. The driver, who only showed up alone then proceeded to claim he won't charge me for these things if my fiance helped him move the things though we paid for full service. My fiance ended up having to move 1/2-3/4 of the things just for us to not get charged for something I was already charged for.  Two of my dining chairs were broken and my boxes were squished including the fragile ones. The driver kept on trying to lazily do the job and kept on trying to get me to sign the inventory sheet before he even opened up the truck to unload my things. I finally was about to sign it but then he also tried to have me sign the "completion of job" sheet when 2 boxes were not even in my apartment yet and he hadn't re-built my bed. After I contested it he brought in the 2 boxes in but then tried to have me sign it again. I refused until he made the bed but then he got mad, started yelling and stormed out of the apartment. He left with both documents unsigned. The worst part is that when contacting the company to report this, they didn't care. They didn't apologize for him being unprofessional, they didn't care that I didn't sign the documents and they were much harder to get a hold of afterwards. Makes me think this happens a lot and they just get away with it.

Same experience as others. They are so nice on the phone, but they outsource their work to a small company. Actually, I didn't read these reviews until after they picked up my items and I had already paid twice the amount I was quoted on the phone. I went to bed with a bad felling, and reading over the paperwork, I was hating myself for agreeing to it, and why in the world didn't I just have them take my items back off the truck? Anyway, long story short, I ended up canceling, I got my items back (a few days later), and just went through a local trailer company (ABF- UPack). Again, wishing I found this place first. At the least, I am glad I got my items back and it arrived safely across the country, thanks to ABF (UPack). NEVER USE National Movers. I found out that most legit companies will come out to give you an estimate weeks ahead of time.

Too bad there isn't a zero star rating, because this place earned it.  From the beginning, we were misquoted by over $2500.  I was getting out of the Army and we told the company we were moving a two bedroom apartment from Texas to Virginia, were given a quote, and ended up being misquoted and had to pay double for our move.  On top of that, the shipping took an entire month to get here.  We were lied to about shipping dates throughout the process.  Upon arrival of our goods, the movers broke the hydraulic to our new door and lost multiple boxes along the trip.  After calling customer service, who failed to return voicemails and failed to pick up the phone multiple times, we were told over a period of three weeks that they "kept calling the driver and the warehouse to check for our items."  Today, I received a phone call from a 'manager' who refused to offer any help and encouraged me to 'do what I needed to do' even if it meant blacklisting their company even after I told them we were missing items that belonged to my late mother-in-law which are irreplaceable.  They offered no sympathy and the manager even suggested that, and I quote, "there is nobody more in charge here than me" after I asked to speak to her boss.This company has been rude and untrustworthy during the entire process, which is not something I would expect from a company in the U.S. to act towards a veteran of the U.S. armed forces.  I would discourage anybody in the FORT HOOD, TEXAS or TEXAS region, to include U.S. Government employees from using this business as they are running a pyramid scheme operation and a dishonest business, not to mention their blatant lack of respect towards veterans.

PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR FURNITURE. I made the 1st mistake by choosing a company that doesn't do in home inventory checks prior to the move and I made the 2nd mistake by choosing a moving company based on the lowest quote. I was originally quoted ~$3500 to fully pack and move our things from Wisconsin to North Carolina. However when the drivers get there, after packing up all our things they tell my wife that we will be charged extra because my furniture is more bulky than most furniture.  In the end we were told that we needed to pay an extra ~$1200 because our furniture took up more square footage than what was originally quoted. Now we did need a few extra boxes due to how they packed our things, but it was less than 8 extra boxes needed which is not worth $1200. We actually didn't send things with the truck because the drivers stated that if 1 item passed a certain line in the truck, we would be charged an additional ~$800 which was CRAZY! Two of the drivers were VERY RUDE, unprofessional, smelled like smoke, demanded that my wife go to the store to get them some water (which she didn't), kept asking for a tip, and had a very bad attitude. Because they had already packed all of our things, we felt forced to pay the additional $1200. After our furniture was taken away, the sales rep whose name is Raphael Miller, who was very responsive before our furniture was taken, completely stopped responding to my emails and calls immediately after our furniture was taken which was my 2nd red flag. Prior to our furniture was taken we were told by Raphael that it could take up to 10 days to receive our furniture and we said that's fine. After I didn't get any email responses from Raphael, I started to panic and wonder if this was a scam since we were already scammed for an additional $1200. In doing some additional research, I was able to find nothing but NEGATIVE reviews from this company from people stating exactly what I was going through. After calling multiple numbers and getting nowhere I finally got the customer service #. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely rude with no empathy for our situation. I spoke to Jennifer out of California, Kanesha, and Paula who were all VERY RUDE. Multiple people kept telling me to call Paula and I left multiple voicemails on her phone which she never called me back even though her voicemail states that she will call you back within 24hours (TOTAL LIE). After 2 weeks of this I was finally told about a website (movingclaims.net) where you can get information on your shipment. I went to the website using the job # that I was given by Rapheal and I got no response so I tried calling customer service again. After Kanesha wasn't able to find my order at 1st I got really upset, then she said she needed to go into the "old system" to find my order and she gave me a new # to use then told me that our furniture was in a warehouse located in Illinois. After 3 weeks and submitting the online tracking form and getting the same email 2-3 days later each time that states the furniture is still waiting to be loaded and it could take up to 21 business days (basically a full month) for our furniture to get delivered, I get an email that stated that it was in route. After 2-3 days I didn't get a call so I called Kanesha back (now I had her direct line) to get a status update and she told me the In Route email was a mistake and my furniture was still waiting to be loaded. Now I'm beyond upset! Now it's been 4 weeks and I still don't have my furniture, my wife and 2 year old daughter are sleeping on an air mattress and when I call customer service they could care less. This company has some of the WORST if not the WORST customer service reps I've ever experienced. I'm now in the process of filing a police report and hiring a lawyer because this is the worst moving experience I've ever had. I would recommend 2 Men and a Truck and Merchants because I've used them in the past. NEVER USE NATIONAL MOVERS OR ORANGE VAN LINES TO MOVE ANYTHING FOR YOU, EVER! They should not be able to do any business in the future!
