Mambo Movers

This is my company

Everybody knows Mambo of Philadelphia. Yes, it is a moving company properly licensed and insured; with all of the movers' paraphernalia and attributes: trucks, dollies, blankets and very skillful and experienced staff — everything is there. Strong and fast, yet gentle and careful, Mambo does custom moves, like elite tailors make custom fitted suits. It's not just a plain relocation, it's an experience. Well, it is probably a bit more than just a moving company after all.

MAMBO WORLD IS A STYLE OF LIFE. The staff is hand-picked from the music and art scene of Philadelphia according to their philosophy of life and fitness to be a part of that unique Mambo World. They are friends and work together for many years. The Mambo Guys are musicians and artists, actors and philosophers — everything but the traditional image of the surly caveman mover. Everybody knows Mambo of Philadelphia, ask your friends about us and I'm sure you'll hear a lot of good things. So, Ladies and Gentlemen,

WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF MAMBO!

Look no further. These guys are awesome. We used them after getting rave reviews from two independent people.  I was charged exactly what I was quoted. No surprise charges at all. They are super friendly, hard working and efficient, never taking advantage of your time. We did a semi long distance move from Philly to north jersey with two stops and they charged us nearly half of what other bigger companies were asking for ( and that's before the sneaky fees you always get). I'm telling you there are no better movers.

Great guys. Very fast and efficient. Even took apart my bed frame and put it back together at my new place! Would definitely recommend to anyone in Center City.

They THREATENED me, then HUNG UP on me. Why? Because I asked for an ETA. No, I'm not kidding.Every time I had talked to their office (booking the job, calling back to ask questions, when they called me to confirm the job) they said the same thing regarding the crew's ETA in the morning: "They should arrive between 9am and 9:30am."So on the morning of the job, when there was no sign of the movers at 9:30am, we called their office. We got pushed off ("oh, they're probably getting some coffee."). When I called back at 9:50am, I got the same excuse. He asked where I live, I told him and he said, oh yeah, we're in South Philly, so that's why it's taking a while (as if where they're located should matter). When I asked for an ETA, the guy said he can't do that. When I asked if he could have the crew call me or give me their number, he said "No." When I asked if he could call them and ask for an ETA, he said no and got increasingly irritated. He said they "should" be there in a few minutes. I noted that just going on faith that they would show up and not having any sort of recourse (e.g. "call me back if they don't show up" or "we'll give you a break on the price") was not comforting at all. He didn't seem to care. Then I said, look, I'm on a bit of a schedule here (I have limited access to the elevators and a toddler who needs to get down for a nap) and this is later than what we'd planned for because they were supposed to be here by 9:30am, so it'd be really helpful to get an ETA. At this point, the guy cut me off and began ARGUING with me and said they "never give out specific times" (false), their trucks all leave at separate times (...and?), etc. At which point I stopped him and said, wait, you guys all told me you'd show up between 9 and 9:30.  At this point, he straight up got belligerent and yells:"SOUNDS LIKE YOU WANT TO WANT TO CANCEL THE JOB! DO YOU WANT TO CANCEL THE JOB??"Are you serious? He knows we can't cancel, they have all the leverage... which he used to THREATEN and INTIMIDATE me.I tried to tell him there was no need to get angry and that I was just asking for an ETA.Then he HUNG UP on me. Yep. Like an angry teenager. Again, taking advantage of the fact that he has all the leverage to treat me like s---.So, unless you enjoy being treated like garbage (and literally paying for it), STAY AWAY FROM MAMBO.

These guys made my life so easy, and they were so nice. They also had to disassemble and reassemble some of my furniture, and it was flawless.

"Mambo Movers - the gentle movers". True to their name, Mambo gets your stuff where it needs to go quickly and safely. Three scrawny dudes will show up, pile all your heavy boxes on their backs, and trek them to the moving truck like beasts! I've used Mambo for two moves now - one within Philadelphia and one from Philly to DC. Both times the guys have been fast, safe, and pleasant to talk to. Their prices are very fair and they work hard. 10/10 would recommend.
