These guys did a great job! They showed up earlier then needed and worked very quickly! After the move out, there was a mark left on our condo association's wall. Of course, the condo had to hold our deposit to repair it. We contacted Van Express and they said they would pay the bill, and they did. They sent the money quickly and I thank them for doing what they said! Overall, the guys were wonderful and we would definitely use them again.

We used van express for a complete move within the state of New Jersey. The workers were courteous quick and careful. Yes a few things were broken and some of the boxes. Here's the thing if you don't want something broken pack that stuff up and you move it. The best part was they forgot a small one dollar piece to my patio set as it got lost in the truck. 3 1/2 weeks later is there on my doorstep. That's cool and I do appreciate that. They drove all the way out of their way to come here and drop a one dollar piece off. I would use again. Just don't try sneaky  charges during the move. Didn't fall for it.

Moved contents of 900 sq ft two bedroom house on July 12th, 2016. Hired through an Angie's List Big Deal. I sent a web form listing contents of house, then confirmed by phone what was on the list. I received an email with the list contents named. I emailed back increasing the number of boxes and adding several items that I had forgotten during the initial discussion (who REALLY knows how much stuff you have in your house?). I expressed concern that the list was short multiple items, and that I needed to increase the number of estimated boxes, and wanted to ensure a big enough truck was sent. The email response was not to worry - they would take care of it and the truck would be big enough. The contact person seemed nice and professional and responsive so I trusted them. We had a change in moving date, due to unexpected last minute closing delay, which the company was very responsive and understanding about changing. However I never received an email or written confirmation on the date/time change. This led to an issue on the moving date. I had written down a 9 am arrival time. When I called the moving company at 9:20 I was told no, it was 1 pm. I was positive it was 9 am, but there was nothing that had been confirmed in writing to support either side's claims. So we had to wait. Ultimately the movers did not arrive until after 3 pm - and did not even call to tell me they were on their way until after the expected 1 pm arrival time. I was informed that there would be four guys working on the move instead of the three that I had paid for in the deal, because they were late and needed to finish on time. I assumed that this was going to be covered by them, as their late arrival was certainly not my fault. Then as the truck got more and more full I was told I could be charged more because I had not accurately reported the amount of items I had. Now if the movers had arrived when I was expecting them, I had planned to move a lot of the smaller stuff on my own in the afternoon. I kept telling them, "no not that box" or "no not this item" intending to move it myself. BUT they said "oh it's no problem, no problem" and continued to carry everything to the truck. I let this go because I was leaving the next morning for three days out of town, and since they were late and everything got so badly backed up, because I was back and forth on the phone as well with the construction people and the utilities trying to coordinate everything afresh, I allowed them to put more in the truck than was planned. Also, I had emailed and spoken to the company by phone and TOLD them that I had to add some additional items that were not included on the list and was told by return email not to worry about it, it was all covered, everything was fine. In the end the truck was exactly big enough for everything. However .... when we got everything over to the new house (less than 1 mile away) I was informed by the movers that I was going to owe TWICE the agreed upon price ($1200 instead of the $600 I had paid through the deal), because 1) extra guy and 2) more stuff than was on the list. If they had told me they were going to charge me for all the stuff I had told them not to put on the truck but they insisted was "no problem" I absolutely would not have allowed it! Nor would I have allowed the fourth man if I had been told ahead of time I would be charged extra! I was also told that I had to go to the bank and get cash to pay this, not a check or credit card. I was ALSO told that the mover would "work with me" on the price if I could tip something for his workers since it was so hot and they had had such a long day. I was so angry I left to go to the bank and called the contact person I had been given at the company on the way but - conveniently - it was after 6 pm by now - and no one was there. I handed the man $600 cash (having already paid $600 through Angie's List deal). He asked me where was the rest. I informed him I had already paid that and pointed out on the invoice where it said PAID. He then called someone in billing (conveniently THEY answered the phone) to confirm I had paid. I insisted on a receipt for the cash, so he wrote down that I had paid $1,000 and pocketed the remaining $200. Then while leaving he said that I should call him to help move my daughter to college this fall and wrote his personal cell number on my invoice so I could call him directly and not go through the company. Not a chance, dude. Not a chance.

From start to finish, these guys were top notch professionals. The gentlemen doing the estimate did a great job, which ultimately turned out to be accurate. They also were the most reasonably priced of the several people that we got quotes from. Scheduling was easy, and they were very flexible with the rescheduling (did so a few days before the move). The crew of 4 showed up early, though only charged from the agreed upon start time. They worked in an intelligent and coordinated manner, patiently answering any questions we had and asked us anything they were unsure of. When we got to the new house, they were again very coordinated and methodical, always ensuring we had everything where we wanted. In short, professional from start to finish, and sympathetic to the customers going through the stressful time of moving. Hardworking and honest, no hidden costs. I strongly recommend Van Express!

They do great work. Arrived on time service was awesome. Lucas took care of everything anyone moving I recommend their services.
