Ahh these guys are the best! Why? They're cheaper than other movers and they're great! They knew what they were doing and did it very well. We got Ziggy and James - boy did they know what they were doing. They made our move seamless and I moved around NYC like 10x so I know my movers! I would use these guys again. Also Alex and co were great and very very responsive to all our emails. We went with these guys because they were the most responsive and in a business like this you NEED someone who emails you the same day if not same hour. So once we confirmed with them, the big day came.  I am an extremely anxious person let me tell you, so I was on edge the whole day of moving. These guys texted me and told me when they would be coming. The had a 9am start but were there at 830am, they even asked me if I had a 9am stArt or can they start now. How considerate! I said sure start! Then ziggy and James came in started wrapping my tv, my bed, disassembled my bed and couch(yup I got disassembly too!) and they did it so seamlessly. All I did was sit there and criticize like a princess. Didn't move a finger, nor did the husband. They took my stuff and they had to go to 2 places - my storage and my new place. These guys went to my storage, unloaded and put it in the storage in under an hour and then my new place. They assembled my couch and bed and done! We took up a lot of their time cause of all the stuff we got and the extra stop at the storage. We tipped them and thanked them so much for such a seamless move. Just a few tips on moving: - try to move in the morning, no late arrivals cause you're the first one to move, less rush hour traffic, etc...- update your movers on things. We did that and asked a lot of questions to Alex such as how do we pay, and what if we have less furniture but more boxes would that change the quote? (Of course it will!) so we were extremely transparent with what we had as we packed and updated Alex by email and he was very responsive, we did this so I and them wouldn't be surprised the next day - if you are in a building let the building know you'll be late or early and need the elevator then- usually they have restrictions but usually they understand and okay with it, just communicate

I was stupid and ignored all the terrible yelp reviews. Don't make my mistake. Never use Clean Cut Moving.Alex, the manager, pocketed the $90 I paid for the Certificates of Insurance (COIs), so he never provided the COIs to my supers, which meant that I was not allowed to move into the building I was moving into. Also, the movers (led by Luis) showed up 30 minutes after their 3 hour window to appear. Alex's movers drove off with my stuff when they were refused entry to the building I was moving into for not providing the COI.Then in writing Alex said he was holding my stuff for ransom unless I paid him $200 in addition to the $275 I owed. When the movers came by the following day to complete the move, I paid them the $275, and then they dumped everything on the street instead of bringing it up to the apartment. Also, Alex and Luis cursed out myself, members of my family who were present, and my super. Beyond being a kidnapper of furniture they are genuinely mean people.Never use Clean Cut moving. My sister had a horrible experience with Alex too. If only I had asked to her about the company I would've known he was a crook...

I've moved with Clean Cut three times now: once from Stamford, CT to the East Village, then from the East Village to Brooklyn, and then again in Brooklyn this past week. First two moves were with Ziggy and most recently moved with Jonathan, Chris, and one other guy whose name I can't remember. Sorry, man. Anyway, they've always been great to me. I chronically underestimate how much stuff I have so I usually end up with an extra charge, but I also tip well. Never had a problem. These guys moved me up to my third-floor walkup in 95° heat like machines. Nothing was damaged, fragile items and furniture were delicately taken care of. Wasn't an easy move, either: lots of furniture, tons of moving bins (which you really should use, cardboard boxes are so 2007). Really happy with them.

I've moved 12 times and this time using Clean Cut Moving made it the best move I've experienced. That morning, they arrived right on time, and it was surprisingly raining -- there was no parking. Jonathan was super calm and understanding while we worked together to find a parking solution. He and his team wrapped all our furniture, bundled all our art, and had us out of our 2 bedroom 4th floor walk-up (with a courtyard garden) in under 3 hours. They then moved us into our new place in under 1 hour, putting all the furniture exactly where we wanted it, with the whole thing being done by 1pm (we were expecting it to take all night!). Super nice guys, very patient and helpful. I'll definitely use them next time I move. And as for the reviews here saying they beg for reviews and tips, we experienced NONE of that. The only time they mentioned leaving a review was when we asked them if they had any business cards for us to share with friends. They said they didn't have biz cards but mentioned they have a page on Yelp. Jonathan and his team are awesome.

Clean Cut Movers was the most stressful and unsettling moving experience I've ever had. Movers were 5 hours late. When they did arrive, the move took 7 hours, wasting over 12 hours of our entire day.We fell for the glowing reviews, but by the end of the move we figured out why there are so many. The movers practically beg you to leave a good review. It was uncomfortable (kind of like the replies to every post on this page). They are there in person with you, and they are overworked, it's hard to say no. We felt very intimidated.TL;DR --- Do yourself a favor. You get what you pay for. Spend a little more on legitimate movers  - it's worth your safety and sanity. Seriously. Heed the countless pictures and negative reviews. And beware the shill accounts here.----------------------------------------------Here's the story for those interested:They set an arrival window of 11am-2pm. So we schedule it. Plan around it. Whatever, the price was right.1:30pm they tell me their truck broke down. No word again until an hour later. They'll be there by 4pm. They show up at 5:30 and start at 6. By now we're stepping on the other tenants toes. No apology. 2 of the skinniest dudes ever are moving us.They start wrapping up furniture without removing pieces, they were leaving drawers in, etc, which confused me as I said in my emails that we're moving into a walk-up.  Half way through the move they take a short break. As we're talking about they delay, they tell me they almost let the job to move me go, but took it because we were moving into an elevator building. 1) Thanks for not canceling???? (after reading other reviews, they could've left me high and dry) 2) Nope. Not an elevator building. I told them they were incorrect. Their moods went sour. They stopped working. Called "Dispatch". I told them to check their emails. "Dispatch" said they'd check, then they called the movers back and told them it's actually a 3-person job and it would cost $100 for another guy. I told them I wouldn't pay for their mistake, and none of us heard from "dispatch" again (we had other issues later and Dispatch didn't answer calls from myself or their movers). One of the movers had such a terrible attitude after that, while the other guy tried to compensate. The move went late into the night (we became "those noisy neighbors", great first impression). Bad attitude dude was dead on his feet of exhaustion. My girlfriend and I had to help them move and reassemble our stuff (why did we hire them again?). The tired guy starts dropping our furniture instead of setting it down. I tell him not to do that, I know he's tired, we all are, but he needs to be careful with our stuff. He's barely coherent. Can't even make sense of our bed frame that he took apart earlier. We order a pizza because they haven't eaten all day.We finish at 1am -  nearly 12 hours after their first email. Still give them a tip because we feel bad. The final straw? They tell us not to leave a bad review. They beg us not to. I want them out and I'm a little paranoid by now that they know where I live, so I say fine.Well here I am. Clean Cut, you ignored my calls, ignored customer service. You guys blew it every step of the way. Total incompetence at every turn. You could have sent another guy. Whoever "Dispatch" was left everyone high and dry.Spend a little more money on a legitimate moving company - it's worth your sanity. And watch out for shill accounts here.
