ZERO STARS AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am blown away by what happened to be, as well as the company's response. My day with Jesus and Clean Cut Movers was horrible, dragged on, scary, and all around a horrific experience.The day started at 2pm and continued until 12:30AM(!) when my mover Jesus last came to my house (for his PANTS that were inappropriately left at my apartment?). Having moved this exact furniture within the city (and between states) myself, this is something that I KNOW should have taken 2-3 hours max. But instead, it took over ten. Jesus also had me included in the process the entire 10+ hours waiting in the truck (why did I even hire anyone then if I was as involved as ever?). Jesus took advantage of me, constantly swindling me for more money, making up prices about things that "weren't included" and "extra work". Not to mention he had an young child ILLEGALLY WORKING with him. I was told 2 grown men would be moving me, but A YOUNG CHILD who shouldn't be working, let alone moving furniture, was who showed up. Jesus spoke to me and handled everything incredibly unprofessionally - stopping at subway in the middle of the move without telling me (taking over an hour to travel between apartments that are in walking distance of each other), complained about the boxes and weight of what he was moving, and overall speaking down to me. I spoke on the phone with Clean Cut and told them about my scary and horrific day in detail. At told me they would get me a refund and handle the situation and they were sorry...clearly, they weren't. I have been hounding them for my refund and gotten no money back, let alone an apology about my disappointing, exhausting, and SCARY experience. I really hope they go out of business so no one has to experience what I did.

These guys are literally criminals. I hired them for a move about a year ago. They did over $1000 in damage to my furniture. What's worse, while my items were in their truck, they illegally held my furniture hostage and demanded an additional $300 for the move.

I sued them in small claims court for the damage and received a judgment, but they still refuse to pay and screen my calls.

I contacted the NYDOT to help collect on the judgment and I understand that they've had trouble with this company in the past as well.

***Specifically, this company doesn't even have a license to do intrastate moves in the state of New York. In other words, this is literally an illegal operation.***

In case Alexander Mansi (the manager) responds and tries to dispute this, you'll see a signed notice of violation attached. This form is affirmed under penalty of perjury by the NYSDOT Office in Long Island City. There are two people from this mover specifically cited: Alexander Mansi and Nasratul Aklima.

In case helpful for anyone else trying to enforce a judgement against these guys, this company is actually a DBA. Their actual name is Bins & Things LLC. Since they have so much trouble with regulators they've operated under several DBA names in New York including Clean Cut Movers NY, Clean Cut Movers NYC, Clean Cut Movers Long Island and Clean Cut Moving.

Alex will say these companies are different, but they're not. See attached an excerpt from the Motor Carrier Management Information System provided by the NYSDOT when I spoke with them. You'll see each of these DBAs under Motor Carrier ID MC977325; their expired NYSDOT number is 2903891. Again, these guys are literally just scum, they've been breaking the law for over 10 years in New York.

For what it's worth, they also use a service called Reputation Stacker, which pays people to post fake positive reviews of their services. Trust me, any of the positive stuff you're seeing on here is fake.

If anyone needs any further information to enforce a judgment against these guys feel free to direct message me. I can get you in touch with the appropriate Sheriff's office and the appropriate regulator in the state of New York.

I just had a one bedroom doorman / elevator building to one bedroom doorman / elevator building move yesterday with these guys, and overall was very happy with how things turned out. Pros:- Really nice movers (Gary and O'Neal) who were careful with my stuff (I had one broken wine glass but probably because of the way I packed it)- The price point was extremely competitive - there are definitely cheaper options but this company has a strong rep and great reviews by other users and overall they lived up to it- The company tried to charge me $90 for the certificates of insurance - they outsource the provision of these. After I told them I wasn't interested in proceeding with them, they said they would waive the $90 feeCons:- Even after I had the COI fees waived, I still had to fill out a bunch of information on a website - for all my other movers all I had to do was email them the insurance requirements for each building and the moving company would take care of the rest, so this was a little annoying- The movers asked me to watch the van to make sure they didn't get a ticket, and they weren't exactly hustling it - Last year I moved with Flat Rate and those guys were super efficient and I was moved into my new apartment in less than 2 hours (I had less stuff back then), but again otherwise the movers were great guysBut compared to Flat Rate, this was a much cheaper option (almost 50% lower than the quote I received from Flat Rate for the same move) and everything went smoothly. I would recommend this company and I would use them again

I was going to let this one go, but you don't insult my wife (see Matthew S's review) without getting an earful. Frankly, I am shocked by this unprofessional and bullying insinuation. My wife IS a real person...or so the voices tell me ;)Time for some facts:Fact: We did not use Clean Cut before. Notably, we dealt with Alex M. We chose Clean Cut based on both price and speed/helpfulness of communication.Fact: We booked our move three weeks out. When asked how many boxes we had, we replied with our best estimation even though we barely had started packing. We also included links/pictures of major pieces of furniture.Fact: We ended up having more boxes than we thought. We also needed to add an additional location (storage facility). We communicated this to Alex prior to the move who adjusted our quote accordingly to a higher price we believed was fair.Fact: Our movers, Ziggy and James, arrived on time, were extremely efficient, and remained calm and methodical throughout the entire move.So, I think communication is key here (Wait, are we talking about movers or relationships? Don't want to sound like a marriage counselor). Also, morning times seem to be better. Finally, since we had two locations, we marked everything going to storage with bright red tape to make it clearer, which definitely helped.

More outright lies from Alex here.  At no point was ours ever a "van move."  The movers arrived with a small delivery truck, everything fit in said small truck, and said small truck was used for the move.  100+ extra items is, once again, hyperbole.  And the modern mafia has been in "business" for over 80 years.  That doesn't mean they aren't shady as hell.Also, LOL at the plainly fabricated "review" from Cher A.Ask yourself: do you enjoy stress and drama?  If so, this is the company for you.
