We bought a new home and had several large pieces to move like two dressers made from solid oak. I didn't want to start the new chapter of our lives with damaged furniture and deep scratches on the walls. We decided on Two Men and a Truck based on reviews. Two guys literally arrived in a truck and they were courteous, professional, and careful. They took their time with wrapping each piece of furniture and moved cautiously with the large items. I watched as they carefully maneuvered large pieces up and down stairs and around tight corners. I ended up paying a bit more but my stuff arrived without damages and received two follow up calls just to make sure the move was going well. Go with Two Men and a Truck. You might end up paying a bit more but your belongings and your walls won't be damaged.

This morning I felt the need to post first a wag of the finger to the completely larcenous, thieving, predatory group called two men and a truck for trying to charge us $1,230 for a one-bedroom move this last weekend.  Here's a tip of the hat for the $320 reimbursement... I feel much better having paid $910 for the move (dripping with sarcasm)!

V.S. (Abbreviation of her name because she had our review taken down) acts nice but does NOT care about her customers!!! She is a bold-faced LIAR!!! Can you tell that we are upset?Upon calling this location, we asked them a very important question:Q) Can your movers handle and take apart Sleep Number beds?A) Yes, our movers are Sleep Number qualified.Needless to say, the movers claimed they were NOT Sleep Number qualified and they destroyed our $5,000 Sleep Number bed during the move. They dragged it across the parking lot and had the mechanism that raises and lowers the upper part of the bed clinking off each of the 22 stairs' steps. They broke our kitchen table. They tried bringing the dresser up last but told us that they couldn't get it up the 2 flights of stairs. Our solid oak $2,500 dresser was found INSIDE the dumpster! They were the 2 laziest set of movers we've ever had. We've moved around 6 times, once cross country and never had a complaint about a moving company. My wife was injured at work 15 yrs ago and takes pain meds to relieve her pain. She ended up having to take extra pain meds because the movers told her that it would be easier and faster to carry our boxes, furniture and belongings to the door, and then she could move our items from there to wherever she wanted in the apartment. 2 Men and a Truck movers had her sign a release form, while under the influence of her pain meds and muscle relaxers, to release them from being responsible to any damage to our BED, DRESSER AND KITCHEN TABLE - the three most expensive things they damaged!!! How convenient! Oh, by the way, our two flat screen HDTV screens were scratched and numerous other things broken that weren't too expensive but had sentimental value.We then filed a claim and "VS" told us that she would "tear up" the signed release form and give us 30 cents per pound. She said she was doing us a favor because otherwise we'd get nothing for our damaged bed, dresser etc. The total she said she was going to give us was $303. She said she'd mail the check to us. We never rec'd a check. Since a friend paid for the move, she credited her credit card but did not tell us. We're not upset that "VS" did that because at least she paid out the $303 that she said she would. "VS" also told me that 2 Men and a Truck does NOT have an insurance company. Really?? What moving company doesn't have an insurance agency handling claim pay-outs? They have claim adjusters but don't go through an insurance company? JUST MORE LIES FROM "VS."I can go on and on but this review is long enough. Thanks for reading and STAY AWAY from 2 Men and a Truck if you want your belonging intact, want to get treated fairly as customers and not get lied to.

Today I had the pleasure of moving with "2 men and a truck".  My crew consisted of Devonte and Devonte, great guys, they worked their butts off and smiled the entire time.   They brought plenty of supplies, wardrobes, tape, blankets, etc...   the boss even stopped in to check on my satisfaction at the beginning of the move.  The price quoted was close to the final estimate.   I highly suggest if you use this branch of "2 Men" to request this hard working duo!  I loved them!

Used Two Men and a Truck to move a few blocks in the same suburb.  We purchased the additional insurance that they offered through another company.  Good idea since they broke our $1500 bed!!  The movers and managers at the office seemed willing to help us the day of our move(1st).  We were told that the movers would take photos and then an insurance adjuster would be by to take their own photos and file a claim. However, it is now the 23rd and we still have our broken bed waiting to be seen by the adjuster.  They sent someone out and it turned out to be a furniture finisher... wait.  what?!?!I saw the work order which was dated the 11th and the emails which were dated on the 20th that our situation was an emergency.  Vanessa, at the office, was our contact for the process and seemed willing to help us the day of, but definitely failed.  I would NOT recommend them to anyone!!If your slogan is "Movers Who Care" ...you might want to rethink that.
