History

Established in 1985. Two Men and a Truck® started in the early 1980s as a way for two brothers to make extra money while they were in high school. Now, more than 30 years later, the company has grown to over 330 locations worldwide. Brothers Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber started moving people in the Lansing, Mich., area using an old pickup truck. Their mom, Mary Ellen Sheets, developed a logo to put in a weekly community newspaper. That stickmen logo still rests on every truck, sign, and advertisement three decades later.After the brothers left for college, Sheets continued to field calls for moving services while she also worked a full-time data processing job with the State of Michigan. In 1985, she decided to make things official by purchasing a 14-foot truck for $350 and hiring a pair of movers. That $350 is the only capital Sheets has ever invested in the company.

Lance n tyrone were very professional and courteous and did the move in a timely fashion. They also went above and beyond to take apart and put back together my futon that was too difficult to move in one piece. They are excellent workers!!!

My son and his wife used Two Men and a Truck for their recent move to a new home.  Once again they came through with flying colors!   My son under estimated the total size of his belongings when he ordered the move.  When the truck arrived the crew could see that everything was not going to fit in the truck.  They immediately called for another truck and in a very short period of time the second crew appeared with another truck to save the day.The 4 guys doing the move were all very courteous and careful with his belongings.  They went out of their way to make sure this was a very positive experience and their belongings arrived in good condition and in the right location in their new home.  I will definitely be using Two Men and a Truck for my next move!

I would never use this company. We had them come it to give us a quote. Received contract from Patrick, who was very nice and helpful. This morning I got a call from the company that they were canceling our move that was scheduled for this weekend!!!!!!! Both managers I spoke with pretty much were like sorry. We have no men to move you. Ridiculous! I would never hire them. Not sure how a huge company can just cancel on a family trying to move :( horrible!!!

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING.My moving situation was a bit different and Samantha at the office handled it with great care and made sure I was taken care of. She was just amazing. As for my movers,  Bobby , Jeff , and Lucas they were exceptional. I couldn't have asked for a better team. They took great care of my furniture and personal items and made my move as stress free as they could. I would use Two Men and A Truck again and again. Thank you for all your help guys you really did an amazing job.

This is the second time that I have used Two Men and a Truck. The first time was a great experience, no complaints. The second time left me upset and almost in tears. The movers were very nice and I got all of my belongings to my new apartment on time. The problem started when one of the movers (Peter) tried to reassemble my large office desk. After putting the desk together incorrectly, he attempted to do it again only to break one of the legs off of my desk. He attempted to fix the problem but the desk was truly damaged and couldn't be fixed. He said that I should go back to the store where I bought the desk to see if I could get a replacement! He was very apologetic but I was very upset that he didn't give me any follow up on how to get the desk repaired. I just moved and I work from my home office, I don't have time to run around and get a desk repaired! I have moved all over the country several times and I have used several moving companies. I don't expect a moving company to be perfect but if they do screw up, I expect them to take ownership and try to fix the problem.
