WORST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!After finally opening 45 minutes after my scheduled pick up, we never got an apology, we were completely dehumanized by this rude cast of characters. I have never been more appalled by a group of people, much less as a paying customer.  The first thing Dennis says to us as he walks by after he arrives 45 minutes late is "why are you here?" His little display of complete grumpiness continued and the woman joined in with short remarks and an uncalled for attitude. As my (nicest person ever) dad was getting the names of people who treated us with such little respect from the only competent guy there, I was told by one worker to "calm your dad down" and another asked my dad "what the f*ck is wrong with you?" I would be in total disbelief if i wasn't there to witness this, but after reading some of the other reviews on here it doesn't look like it was an isolated experience.

RATED "F" BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU (Sept. 2014) -- AVOID!!!This may have been the single worst consumer experience I have had with any business ever.  The business appears to have engaged in fraudulent, unethical practices. After I returned the truck, I noticed additional charges on my card.  Jeff, who identified himself as the owner, said he was charging me for unfolded pads and for an unfilled gas tank.  There is no provision, either in the contract or the Terms and Conditions, that authorizes an additional charge for unfolded pads.  Further, Jeff stated that he called the location from which I rented and that the manager told him that the pads were folded when I picked up the truck.  The manager at the pick-up location stated that he never spoke with anyone at Moving Chicago and that he considered Jeff's claim to the contrary to be a "lie."  The manager at the pick-up location stated that he's he's "never heard of" a charge for unfolded pads and that folding pads is "just part of the job."Additionally, I had documentation proving that I filled the tank with $99 of gas, but Jeff refused to look at it.Customer Service refunded these additional fees and apologized for Jeff's behavior.  But the following day, I noticed MORE charges on my credit card from Moving Chicago.  Customer Service also refunded these fees.I strongly suggest not doing business with this establishment.

Awful, Awful, they did not have our truck at the quoted time and we had to be out of our apartment by 4:30.  They then sent us to a location and a number that is not a rental at all but an apartment complex.  A woman that lived on the street said budget had been doing that for 5 years.  Moving did refer us to another place we got a truck but they are charging more.... I am turning budget into the BB, and this place.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY/LOCATION!!!!If only I had yelped this company prior to booking a truck with them for a move from Chicago to Michigan... It started the same as most say, I initially went to the incorrect address, listed and given to you with your reservation at 9am to pick up my truck,  at a non-existent place on Western off Peterson only to call and very rudely be told that is not their address, they do not currently have any trucks and I can pick up a truck across town at their Elston location at 12. Completely exasperated, I call Uhaul to try and set-up a last minute rental, I'm told they have one and all my problems are solved! Well until after waiting an excruciatingly long time in line at this one shop and once again am VERY rudely told there is no truck, despite the confirmation I had received. ( This was at the Ravenswood and Devon location). So I head back to Budget (Moving Chicago) and confirm they will have a truck ready at 12, an hour past my 11am move out deadline, they now tell me the trucks will not be there until 3, apparently the trucks are not housed at this location either and they are waiting for them to be delivered. With no other clear option, I resign to waiting until 3 to pick up my truck. Just to be safe, after 2 unsuccessful attempts, I call again about 30 minutes later to reconfirm and make sure this is a hard confirmation for a truck at 3, the man who answers obviously annoyed with my third call today rudely assures me there will for sure be a truck waiting for me at 3. Mind you, with this third call it is also the third time they have taken my full name on the reservation and confirmed my truck.I arrive to pick up my truck at about 2:40. I'm once again rudely told the trucks are not there yet and they're waiting on an update from their transporter on when the will arrive. Fine, I'm here, trucks are on their way, I try to get everything finalized so I can just leave with my truck when it arrives. Then I'm told I do not have a reservation. I'm dumbfounded, I have called them 3 times each time giving my name and receiving confirmation, then no one admits to talking to me, then the person who confirmed this 3 times with me denies he ever spoke with me, then he decides he did speak with me but looked up my name after and I didn't have a reservation. 3 calls, 3 times I gave my name, 3 times  I received a confirmation, now 6 hours after my original reservation time, I apparently do not have a reservation with them and they have no trucks. With an undeserving calmness, I very politely, albeit exasperated to the fullest, try to make sense of this and determine my options, 4 people are behind the counter, no one will make eye contact with and some even turn their backs as if I am no longer there, yet retort clipped responses to anything I say giving me no assistance whatsoever and will not even call Budget or see if another location has an available truck. I left this disaster of a company feeling less than human after the way I had been treated. Despite my Uhaul reservation being made last minute and the day of, the wonderful Uhaul location on Fullerton in Lincoln Park helped me immensely by securing a truck for me. I finally moved out of my apartment and headed on my way to Michigan, only 12 hours after the whole moving truck fiasco began.

These people WILL try to scam you into paying more than they tell you. It happened to me and clearly it has happened to other reviewers. They charged me for double the mileage I used on my rental truck (when I called them with evidence they quickly said "oh, it was a mistake") and also tried to hit us with three different fees that did NOT apply (underage driver, multiple drivers on one truck, extra insurance). They did not even offer to remove the fees until I called Budget headquarters and customer service there refunded me for Moving Chicago's intentional mistake. Do NOT rent from this place.
