This is a review of the following facility:MOVING CHICAGO LLC2241 N ELSTON AVECHICAGO, IL 60614(773) 252-0298Everything went 100% according to plan. Ordered my truck (16') a week in advance. Truck was ready on time. They got me in and out in roughly 10 minutes. Returned the truck and was charged exactly how the online ordering said I would be. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. One of the people behind the counter actually gave me some plastic bags after she noticed my hands were full upon returning the truck. Very nice of her.I got locked out of my new place and left a dolly inside (ok, maybe not everything went 100% according to plan). Rather than charge me for another day of usage, they simply said to return it within the next two days. I can't imagine too many places doing that.Overall a very positive experience with this facility. I highly recommend them if you are renting a Budget truck.

Do NOT trust these scumbags, they called me LESS THAN 24 HOURS before my MOVING date to tell me my reservation of a 24 foot truck (or ANY size truck for that matter) I was relying on for a move could not be fulfilled. What's worse was their attitude and complete lack of any ownership in delivering this very unwelcome news. Defensive and rude "It's not my fault we don't have the trucks" was the best they could do, no apologies or understanding why I would be upset about this. Telling me what I need to do next? I'M not the one who messed up- why am I suddenly responsible for calling different numbers, sitting on hold, trying to find a truck at a different location?? They don't know how to run their business and they put it on ME at the last minute to work something else out?? I'm in the middle of packing a 3 bedroom place with suddenly no means of moving my stuff out the next day when I need to be out. How about THEY call around and figure out how to get my reservation fulfilled at the closest location, that is the least they could have done, but nope, couldn't be bothered. I was in a panic, rightfully so, and wanted to understand how they could make such an incredible error and screw me at the last minute with not an ounce of ownership or assistance. They kept hanging up on me because they didn't want to have to deal with the complete mess they created. They were all so rude and one woman just kept saying "Ma'am I don't even know who you are" What does that have to do with ANYTHING?? Do you know ANY customers who come to rent a truck? No, so why do you need to know me to answer my questions as to how this could happen and what they intend to do about it (which is NOTHING). At one point I was so upset and getting nowhere so my husband called and instead of them answering the phone "Hello this is Budget how may I help you?" They answered the phone "AINT GONNA HAPPEN." Really classy service. To top things off, one of the numbers I was told to call to find a reservation center elsewhere who can help me at the last minute, the Corporate Inventory person told me that they were giving me wrong information and that they'd be getting not one but TWO trucks in tomorrow morning so my reservation should be fine there and to call back and let them know. So I called back to let them know and he STILL said no. Likely they were giving my reservation to a friend or something, because the Inventory representative was POSITIVE there would be two trucks there to fulfill my reservation no problem. So I had to call and wait on hold AGAIN to get them to find a location with a truck for the next day. I ended up driving 30 miles away to pick up a smaller truck than I reserved that was 11 years old and broke down on us and we have to drive back another 60 miles to return it to that location. Thanks a lot. I should have known from the beginning when I booked the truck a month ago and the guy told me a dozen pads were $28.... they are $15. Scumbag scammers, I hope they lose their franchising rights.

The prior reviews speak for themselves. This location charged an extra $230 to my credit card even though they got the truck back within the allotted 3+ days I paid for. They didn't bother to answer their phones until late in the morning even though they were open for business. I'd already paid for an additional day and they billed me for another! I'd highly recommend renting from UHaul next door. Any one-way Budget renters should pick a different drop off location.

My wife and I rented a budget truck from Birmingham MI on 6/12. We transported items to our residence in Chicago and then returned the truck to MOVING CHICAGO LLC 2241 N Elston Avenue as directed and agreed upon in our contract with Budget. Before returning the truck after business hours on Tuesday 6/13, approximately 7pm CST, we swept out the back of the truck and gassed it up making sure there would be no additional charges. Upon looking at my bank statement last week, I noticed Budget had charged us an additional $100. I emailed last Thursday to get an answer. I received no email back whatsoever. Upon calling them today, The Moving Chicago LLC location told budget we had left mattresses in the truck and they charged us a $100 cleaning fee. This simply is not true. We never even transported mattresses from our initial location nor had mattresses in the truck at any time. I asked the Budget manager on the phone why they would make this erroneous claim and they said their word was good enough to keep the charge in tact. This charge and claim is an outright lie. Who is to say they can't do this to every Budget client who returns a truck to their location. They have no proof we left anything in the truck whatsoever. We even returned the truck early and completely clean. They are trying to suck money out of innocent and good people to gain an additonal $100.

This is a terrible budget truck rental!  First of all the staff are incredibly rude and the truck was given to me in a disgusting condition! I then showed up to have my car dolly connected to my budget truck. The man who helped me, clearly had no idea what he was doing. He had me drive up on the dolly and told me to keep driving. This resulted in my car being completely scratched and my front bumper was cracked and destroyed. He then called his co worker to help and it finally was put on. Then as I was driving across the country, the car's wheels were frequently coming off the dolly. For 2000 miles I had to refit the car dolly every hour to make sure my car wouldn't fall off! Then I called to get a refund on the dolly and they said they would not take responsibility or give a refund even though they were the ones who put it on in the first place! Avoid this truck rental at all costs!
