We used dolly to move out of our 15th floor apartment.  We had a very short time frame of three hours to get everything out (one elevator) and on the truck.  The guys arrived early, called us when they were on the way and communicated with us as needed.  They were very friendly, and we felt at ease with them as they handled our belongings. They were great at strategizing on how to best pack our truck as we would be driving it to Dallas.  We really appreciated their willingness to communicate with us as they decided what to pack where.  They were very honest, upfront, they showed us when they were starting and stopping the move clock.  This is not an all inclusive service, be sure to buy your own furniture wrap and whatever you want to have to protect your belongings.  This is an affordable service for those willing to do the legwork themselves in terms of packing.

I was referred to Dolly by a friend at the Merchandise Mart and we used them to pick up a sofa there and take it to the north side, plus move an additional heavy armoire. Booking was easy, communication from our helper (Dennis T.) was terrific, and the whole thing was a smooth transaction. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again.

I just read through all the recent Yelp reviews and they were really bad, but overall I see this place gets 4.5 stars. We really lucked out, because our movers were just fantastic!! To start with, we were moving our furniture to a consignment store and didn't check to see what time it opened. I had to move our 8;00 - 8:30 start time to 10:00 AM the day before the move when we realized the store wasn't open until 10AM. We had one queen bed, one armoire, two night stands and one 9-drawer dresser to move.  We had cleaned out everything well in advance and brought down whatever  we could to the main floor (so no stairs for the movers). However the big items, the armoire, dresser and part of the bed were on the second floor and had to be moved.  When the first guy got here with his pickup, hubby didn't think everything would fit, but it did. The second guy showed up shortly later. They initially took all of the smaller pieces and first floor pieces out to our front porch and laid them on a blanket. Then they brought the bigger pieces down, struggling with the armoir because of its sheer size.  Once they had everything down, they fit it all in the truck (I had put a few drawers in my own vehicle too) and we drove over the consignment shop to drop it off. They loaded everything into the consignment store and were done. It took about an hour and 15 minutes or so. The store was probably 2 miles away from our house.Both guys were very friendly, very efficient and very professional. We appreciated their flexibility in moving the schedule, their promptness and their effort at moving things out quickly but without any damage to our home or the furniture. They used shrinkwrap around the armoire, blankets to make sure nothing was scratched and tied down the furniture in the pickup to make sure nothing moved around. Also put blankets on the dresser when in the pickup to protect it.  When I initially priced out a couple of places, this place was by far less expensive than the second quote. $150 vs $490.  Whatever the cost to move it is less in our pocket from the sale of  the furniture.   And now I get to go shopping for a new bedroom set!! YAY ME!!!  (albeit smaller and less pieces) Downsizing while shopping is still fun!! LOL! I would recommend this place.  I am sorry other Yelpers had a bad experience, but my guess is that Dolly has many movers all over the different areas and maybe some are better than others. My experience was great and I would use them again if I needed furniture moved.

Fabulous! The app was easy to negotiate, unlike one of their competitor's. My guy Garrett R. was punctual on both the pick up and delivery, moreover he followed my instructions to a t with protecting a fragile vintage mirror. He was friendly and professional. I have no complaints whatsoever with my service. However, I was saddened that Dolly is not set up to handle specific requests for certain workers as I would most certainly love to hire Garrett again. So...Dolly you need to work on that and make it happen.
