Had a small move and moved a bunch of things inside my house.  Most of the movers I called had a 3 hour limit, and I knew this move would be less than that limit.  They came on time (actually early after calling and getting the OK).  They moved the various items around carefully and efficiently.  I would definitely work with them again.  Thanks!

It all started with the initial phone call. I should have followed my gut instinct and booked another company. Paulette answered the phone in a rude tone but that did not bother me. What bothered me was when she mentioned that they hated doing moves from my apartment complex. She mentioned how they always have a hard time getting the moving truck there. I decided to ignore the comment and book ACME for a small move. She quoted me 1-2 hours, 2 movers, at   $120/hour. I was fine with this quote because I knew I did not have a lot of stuff and I had EVERYTHING packed. On the day of the move 3 guys show up and not 2 like originally quoted. The actual move was 1.5 hours because I did not have a lot of stuff, like I mentioned, and I already had everything packed and ready to go. The guys were great and efficient, except for when 1 guy left plastic (garbage) outside of the apartment complex before leaving. When I was given the invoice, I thought the final cost sounded high but went ahead and gave them a check because I was in a hurry to head back to work. Then, I realized that I was overcharged like some of the other yelpers have mentioned. The receipt shows that 3 movers were required at $180/hour. I was upset with myself for not catching this when reviewing the invoice. (Pictures attached)For this price, I will NOT book them again or recommend them. I received a lot of quotes from highly rated businesses for less than $180. Next time I will go ahead and book one of them.

I moved from Sunnyvale to San Francisco. While everyone from the company was nice, they were not efficient. I had told the lady on the phone that I will need packing too, and I had described my apartment accurately. She sent one person to do the packing and the packing person was not efficient at all. It took her more than 4 hours to just pack the kitchen! I ended packing the rest of the home myself. She sent another packing/moving person to help so I ended paying for that too.All in all it costed by roughly double the initial estimate that I was provided. While the folks are nice, I would not use this company again.

Michael and his wonderful Acme crew recently packed and moved my parents to a local retirement community. My siblings and I were impressed with their professionalism from the day that Michael came to quote the move, on through the days of packing and moving. Not everyone has the patience or experience in dealing with seniors and all the difficulties and emotions that can go with a move such as this, but Acme was fantastic with my parents -  kind, patient, friendly and professional. We highly recommend Michael, Paulette and the packing and moving crew at Acme!

ACME Movers just moved my household furnishings from Sunnyvale to Reno.  They charged a very reasonable rate. They give you quote based on what they think the move will take, let you know what costs are variable, tell you the hourly rate for their team as well as extra charges for blankets and other things that you will need to store your items for a long period of time...and then come in close to that price.    From Michael coming in and discussing the move with us, to Paulette, Ann and Marian coming in to pack our very precious belongs like they were theirs, to Everette and his crew of young, friendly guys who looked you in the eye when you conversed to them, and picked stuff up so my back could be saved...what a crew, every single one of them.  They call themselves a family business, and they treat you like family too.  I highly recommend ACME Movers, they really made our move sooooo much easier.  Choose them, and let them do what they do best, and your stress from your move will be greatly reduced.
