Just got moved into our new place with the help of these guys, and the move went smooth. Last year we had a huge problem with our move, as the movers we had hired, never showed up (look back on my review of all star moving). You can imagine my angst and level of stress in hiring another moving company. These guys showed up on time, moved everything in a timely and SAFE manner, wrapped up what needed to be wrapped, and even helped arrange the apartment a little for us.Big thanks to Gustavo, Jorge G, and David J.We have another move coming up in a year, and I know I will use this company again. Hopefully each move will continue to be this smooth. Another tip to anyone still weary in hiring a company...check out the BBB website to make sure they're legit. I did not with the last company, and despite good yelp reviews, they ended up being duds. Thanks Movecentral

I used Move Central to move from Carmel Valley to about 8.2. miles away to a condo in del Mar last Friday, June 30th, 2017.  My experience scheduling the move was very positive. I received a call and a follow up email. Little did I know it would take two men from 3:45 pm to 2 am to move my one bedroom apartment, from a building with  a large elevator into a two story condo.The movers were scheduled to show up between 2 and 4. They finally showed up at 3:45 pm. The leader of the two person crew told me they were exhausted, having already moved someone else earlier. I was sympathetic, but unfortunately still had to move as my lease was ending.We asked them to stop packing items in the Kitchen as it was obviously taking too long. I had some boxes on the first floor in a storage unit, I ended up taking most all of them to the truck myself. It appeared the the movers were taking many items one at a time and didn't have a large box on a "four roller" to move a lot of items at once.During the move out of the apartment, they informed me that they needed to take a break and disappeared for 45 minutes. After the items were finally loaded into the truck with my help, they told me they needed to go eat. I wouldn't see them again for another 1.5 hours. After the first hour, I tried frantically to reach them, worried that something had gone terribly wrong and maybe I should call the police to report the robbery. They informed me they had an issue getting their pizza from Domino's but that they were on their way.After they finally showed up, the move of the furniture took until 2 am. Mind you, the only thing that they assembled was the couch with 4 screws. Affraid that putting together the bed and other furniture would take until 4 am or longer, we just asked them to pile things in the different rooms. While itemizing the bill, they only deducted one hour despite their breaks took at least 2 hours. I explained that I was unhappy, but they said they could do nothing. I ended up paying over $1,000 for their service. I'll be following up with a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, as well as posting reviews on additional social media sites.8/7/2017Subsequent to my review the owner contacted me to express that this was not the experience their customers typically have and to apologize.  He also  refunded a portion of the moving fee.  I really appreciated him reaching out and the partial refund, and he appeared to genuinely want to make this right.

If you look at my past reviews, I'm perfectly capable of expressing my dissatisfaction with service providers, so when I come across a truly noteworthy company, I am pleased to pass along my experience to others. Move Central is one of those rare companies that delivered as promised and exceeded my expectations.My wife and I are moving halfway across the country, and we contracted with a national shipping company to provide us with a trailer for the move. After researching several options for a company that could load the truck and wrap our valuable furniture and other possessions, we chose Move Central. From the time I contacted them and Jesus handled booking the crew to move us until the entire trailer was packed and the doors were closed, the entire Move Central team was highly professional and delivered service well-beyond our expectations.They provided me with a written and detailed quote for services ahead of time, and then the crew leader went over the hard-copy paperwork for me to sign when they arrived. The pricing was very fair, and the the quote was accurate as well.At first, a three man crew arrived as per my expectation (Jamone, Chris, and Brandon); however, once the team and I walked the house and the team leader realized that they were understaffed, he asked my permission to bring in another team member. When I asked him to explain why another man was needed, he explained that the scope of the job was larger than they expected (my bad - based upon what I told Jesus initially) and that another crew member would allow them to more efficiently loan and wrap in less time. Basically, a shared work load with 25% larger crew would save me time and money. Granted, I needed to pay for the additional crew member, but I don't doubt that the decision saved me money overall. More importantly, it allowed the crew to work more efficiently. Thanks for joining the crew, Manny!I ordered a 27' trailer (based upon the shipping company estimate and recommendation), but the trailer was simply not going to be large enough to fit everything; nevertheless, I asked the crew to pack as much as they could and when we got to the end we could decide what would stay and what would go. Well, these guys amazed me by packing the trailer completely - and I mean completely full so that anything left we could transport ourselves in our personal vehicles.The crew treated our household goods with the utmost respect. They wrapped our furniture in blankets and shrink-wrap so that it was completely protected. Bottom line: they treated our stuff as if it was their own stuff. I love these guys!!I appreciate seeing excellence in action. From professional athletes to scholars, our society recognizes and appreciates people that are the best at what they do. I can say without a doubt that the Move Central team that handled my move are the very best at what they do, and I am grateful to have found them.Thanks again, guys! I only wish I had you on the other end of the move to unpack!!!If you are fortunate enough to have any one of these guys on a crew handling your move consider yourself blessed. Having four all-stars was amazing!!

We used move central today and it was an exceptional experience! Joaquin and Antonio were the best people Ive ever seen to help move and their positive attitude throughout the day was amazing. They took incredible care of our valuablesand nothing was damaged. They never once complained and only gave helpful suggestions throughout our day. We had a ton of things and multiple stops to make and not only were they more than able, they are in my opinion, the masters of moving!Our last stop was the storage unit where we never could have imagined it to end up being as organized as it was.Thank you Antonio and Joaquin! You guys are awesome! If we move in the future we will be calling you again!
