Yikes beware unless you like having your'e valuables damaged and then not having them fixed or replaced!!!!!!!!! First off they damaged multiple pieces of furnitureand have lots of hiddin fees for shrink wrap etc , I made a claim they next day on multiple damaged items I have a newborn baby so was not able to assess all the items they damagedwithin the first week. My first clue should have been when they placed our 60" flat screen into a card board box that should have been my first indicator to ask them to just leave! my mistake I guess, They droped a brand new leather recliner that still had tags on it and broke handle and spring thing was supposesed to be used for rocking my newborn baby broken and unwilling to fix it after multiple emails back and fourth they did have a repair company come to fix the dresser sleigh bed and armoir they took chunks out of wood and scatched to look ok but still when you are paying for somone to move youre valuables you would think they would be a little more careful, They say they give 90 to file claims but when I made my claim the next week for recliner they said sorry it was out of time frame and it had been to long ? They are a bunch of scammers and I would not use them ever again, I have used Two men and a Truck they were great only reason I didnt use them for this move was because they were booked that day ,

Every move of mine over the last 25 years has been done by Metro movers including my most recent on May 18th, 2013. Prompt, hard working and friendly. Movers, office staff and owners have always been top notch!

Please be warned about using this company. They seem to be earnest when you are making the appointment and do show up on time. I think it completely depends on the crew of people that you get on your move day. I used them before and only had one piece of damage but this time I had so much damage I have to write this. We were unfortunate with the people we had who did not take the extra time and care to wrap furniture and to place things carefully as if they were their own. They were not careful in the loading and carrying of my furniture. Many of my furnishings were damaged. Here is a list of damage: A handle missing from an armoire along with dents on the armoire, fabric torn and soiled on a linen sofa, damaged legs on wing chairs, damage on an antique buffet, damage on dining room chairs, leather sofa scraped and leather torn off, media console damaged, box springs and mattresses were dragged and soiled, and metal tool box was dented. They did send someone out to do furniture repair, however, I would rather the damage never occurred in the first place. The mattresses are still soiled, the linen sofa is still torn and dirty and the repairs are noticeable. We paid a considerable amount of money to use this company and I am very sorry I did. Update to review - now they have had someone come to clean the soiled mattress and box spring and the linen sofa. The sofa tear could not be repaired. The person that came took the one remaining handle from the armoire to try and find replacement handles and I have not heard back from him since he was here and it has been two weeks. Update on March 4, 2013 Still have not heard anything about replacing the handle. I also found a huge chunk of wood that had been busted off a headboard that had been taped back on to cover up the damage. What a sneaky thing to do.

I have used Metro Movers three times in the last three years. The first two times they were fantastic. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable. Unfortunately the third time is my last time. The very first thing driver said to me was "it's customary to tip us". Excuse me!!! He also mentioned that he was let go by one of the major national movers. Hmmm red flag number two. I have a grand piano that they have moved twice before. This time the driver was on the phone asking for instructions on how to disassemble it. red flag number three. Never wrapped anything. Let's just tip this ultra suede couch up on its side, in the garage, in the dirt. I could go on. Scratched two picture frames, nicked the legs on the piano, scratches on leather couch. Called the owner and to his credit he got a repair person to come repair the scratches. But even then he didn't seem to think the lack of professionalism was any big deal. Never again.
