Scobey is a local Mayflower agent and I have used Mayflower for four major moves over the years with great success.  I just moved to South Carolina and Scobey handled the San Antonio end of the move.  They were easy to work with, gave the best estimate, and their rep even got the weight right to within a few hundred lbs.  Their crew were professional, polite and hard working.  They packed and loaded extremely well.  I did not have even one broken glass or any other item in the boxes they packed.  This has been true of all of my Mayflower moves, and Scobey did not disappoint.  Absolutely excellent job and I highly recommend them to anyone.

This company does not even deserve a one star. First off they called on Friday to say the Packers would be there at 8 am on Monday.  So 830 I called the company. The company advised that they wouldn't even be there tell 1030. I didn't even get a phone call.  Then movers didn't pack the things I asked to pack.  After the packers was done with a room I  would go back to check and there was still items in drawers. It isn't even like it was disorganized. They managed to pack things that were not to be packed even when there was labels that said do not pack.  4 o'clock rolls around and they start getting sloppy.  Said there were done. Once I started questioning why things weren't packed that claimed the driver would complete this part. So I'm thinking ok.  I call to asked for the driver to come a day early.  Was advised that this wasn't an option. I'm like great ok. Moving day That is when I realized they didn't even do the garage area.  All they did was leave the plastic totes of decorations.  Didn't label then or even inventory. The company worker didn't even walk around with me.  I should have known better that was my fault for being too trusting. Once the mover arrives he advised me that there are no packing materials for my beds and I needed this company to come back out.  Mind you the are two different companies. This one the Packers and another one.  This company scobey the packers show back up not even aware of what they are packing. I had to send them back to get the correct supplies.  So now there are back and get the beds  packed and i notice a large rip on the bed box.  I say something to them about it and he is like ummm what do you want me to do about it . I'm like fix it. Do I really have to tell you that holes and rips are unacceptable. I will make sure to never use this company again.

Watch for thieves as packers.  They stole items from me out of closets that weren't part of their packing scope.  I'm still finding items that are missing.

While the packers and movers were excellent, initially Scobey grossly over-estimated the weight and materials needed for the move (by more than 2,000 lbs).  If you use their services, be sure the estimated weight is at least close to the amount you are moving.  After a bit of discussion regarding the over-estimation, the company did finally make an adjustment and charged me a fair amount for the move.  Given their packers, movers, and drivers are excellent, I would recommend them.
