This is a PROFESSIONAL moving company - if you wanna pay $99 to have some college kids toss your belongings around, go right ahead.  Oh wait, you actually want someone to handle your stuff with care, making sure it is properly protected and loaded into the truck for the trip across town, then unloaded and placed in your new home exactly where you want it? Then I suggest you call Alan.  This is the 3rd time we have used Alan Vickers Moving to handle our move.  It was a hectic move as my husband was out of town all week and I didn't have time to perfectly pack everything.  No worries - the crew brought in wardrobe boxes that made moving the contents of our closets a snap and even disassembled the larger furniture items (beds and dressers) before wrapping everything and loading it into the truck.  When we got to the new place, they asked me where I wanted things and put them in place.  They put the furniture back together.  They put down mats to keep from tracking dirt into the house.  They removed all the shrink wrap from the furniture.  They were quick and efficient.  Ultimately, if my husband and I were to have tried this alone, it would have taken us much much longer, probably several days.  We would have had to rent a truck and probably taken off of work.  And at the end of it we would have been exhausted.  It is well worth the cost to hire them for a move!
