I can whole-heartedly say that Vickers Moving Service is hands down, THE ABSOLUTE BEST moving service you could hire in Houston!!!  My fiancé and I, and both of our families - including aunts, uncles, sisters and parents- have used them for over a decade now and for many different types of moving services!Let me just say that I have referred them to dozens of people; my clients, my friends and random people on the street.  EVERY one I referred them to not only used them...but called me and personally thanked me for sending them to Vickers Moving and now will ONLY use them as their mover.These guys have been in the business for over 20 years and take customer service to a whole new level. We used Vickers to move some of Mom's furniture and household items to a storage unit. They were on time, pleasant to be around, and very efficient. The owner even stopped in to make sure our move was heading in the right direction for both his team and us. This was service above and beyond expected.  It was amazing how much they got into the storage unit while leaving access for us to get to records and items we might need to get to.Their prices were a bit higher than some others quoted, but the extra cost was worth it as the day went so smoothly and Mom's things were treated with kid gloves. I highly recommend this company and will hire them again if needed.

We had such a perfect (yes perfect) moving experience with Alan and company. We did not have an easy job for them and they never showed frustration and were extremely professional throughout the entire process. The pricing was very comparable to other companies - and the previous reviews don't lie, this is the best of the best in Houston moving. Our move consisted of three stops and multiple swaps of very antique, delicate furniture - and they never missed a step and were full speed (in 90 degree weather) the entire TEN hour move. They took care of our furniture (wrapping, pads, etc.) better than we could have imagined. They showed up on time and followed all directions with a smile - which with my family is difficult. They did not over charge for anything or try to add extra charges along the way. They used the exact amount of materials required and didn't up charge or try to sell anything unnecessary. Two flat screen smart TVs, glass coffee tables, antique china cabinets, antique kitchen hutch, mirrors from early 1900s and much, much more - all moved included with the hourly charge plus the materials they used. In the end with over 25 pieces of furniture wrapped, padded and delivered perfectly - all materials cost $75. The end price was exactly what Alan quoted me when we arranged the move. Honest, legit, hard working people. This is the best moving experience anyone in my family has ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and hire Alan and his team - worth every penny!

By far the most professional and organized movers I have ever dealt with. I have moved dozens and dozens of times in my life on a variety of budgets and they were by far the best!!! Seamless, punctual, efficient, well organized, friendly great guys. WOW!! Save yourself the frustration and go with Vickers!

I asked for a quote for packing and loading of a POD for a cross-country trip. The owner, Alan, was very prompt in corresponding via email, but when I questioned the necessity of 50-60 furniture pads at $20/ea for a 2-br he immediately rejected the entire job. I did not say I would not buy the pads, only questioned the need for so many since it would cost as much as transporting the POD (~$1200).It was a strange interaction, and I'm surprised a small business is not more open to answer questions and give the customer time to understand and agree to the terms. I'm sure they are a good company based on reviews and clearly he has high standards to protect his employees and business, but be sure you are clear and do not comment or question the information he gives you or you will be declined.
