Two Men and a Truck, Houston NW is a locally owned and operated moving franchise. The local Houston franchise opened in 1996, and we have been members of the Houston BBB since 1996. We are a full service moving company providing local, statewide, and interstate moving services. Our customers are primarily residents of the Houston metropolitan area, although we are not limited to the Houston metropolitan area, as we will also go across the state or across the country.

History

Established in 1985. Two Men and a Truck® started in the early 1980s as a way for two brothers to make extra money while they were in high school. Now, more than 30 years later, the company has grown to over 320 locations worldwide. Brothers Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber started moving people in the Lansing, Mich., area using an old pickup truck. Their mom, Mary Ellen Sheets, developed a logo to put in a weekly community newspaper. That stickmen logo still rests on every truck, sign, and advertisement three decades later.After the brothers left for college, Sheets continued to field calls for moving services while she also worked a full-time data processing job with the State of Michigan. In 1985, she decided to make things official by purchasing a 14-foot truck for $350 and hiring a pair of movers. That $350 is the only capital Sheets has ever invested in the company.

They were able to help us with our small, in-town move within an 18-hour time period. Very professional, fast service by the CSR. The actual movers were super nice, informative, and flexible with our needs.

Two Men and A Truck was great. I called at the last minute to have them move all the heavy things i had left in my apartment. Although they could not move me that same day, they came bright and early the next day to move. The driver called me 10 minutes before they were suppose to arrive to let me know that they will be there shortly and was stuck in traffic (Houston traffic is never perfect). I had to work so my boyfriend was there to direct the move. He calls me and tells me that they are moving quick and are almost done about an hour and a half after the got there. To make a long story short i really loved how it only look them 2hours to move and how they where quick to move up stairs.Thanks two men and a Truck !!!

I can't say enough about what a truly great experience we had from beginning to end with the team from Two Men and a Truck. Donald was very helpful in getting the same crew scheduled for two days to help unload our PODS. He was also able to work it in on rather short notice. Dominick, Curly, and jermaine are the amazing team assigned to our move. These guys work really well together. They are fast, friendly, and true professionals. I greatly appreciate the level of care which they took in moving items into our new home. They seem passionate about ensuring client satisfaction and have a willingness to go the extra mile.At the end of my experience both days, I was impressed that someone from the office followed up with a personal phone call to inquire how the move went and confirm that we were fully satisfied with the job.

The movers that came were very courteous, gentle with my furniture, and thorough to make sure that I was completely satisfied with their work! I had them move things within my home as I just purchased new furniture and needed to move an upright piano. The took the piano down a step and on hard wood floors, no issues and very gentle. I would definitely use them again!
