Two Men and a Truck, Houston NW is a locally owned and operated moving franchise. The local Houston franchise opened in 1996, and we have been members of the Houston BBB since 1996. We are a full service moving company providing local, statewide, and interstate moving services. Our customers are primarily residents of the Houston metropolitan area, although we are not limited to the Houston metropolitan area, as we will also go across the state or across the country.

History

Established in 1985. Two Men and a Truck® started in the early 1980s as a way for two brothers to make extra money while they were in high school. Now, more than 30 years later, the company has grown to over 320 locations worldwide. Brothers Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber started moving people in the Lansing, Mich., area using an old pickup truck. Their mom, Mary Ellen Sheets, developed a logo to put in a weekly community newspaper. That stickmen logo still rests on every truck, sign, and advertisement three decades later.After the brothers left for college, Sheets continued to field calls for moving services while she also worked a full-time data processing job with the State of Michigan. In 1985, she decided to make things official by purchasing a 14-foot truck for $350 and hiring a pair of movers. That $350 is the only capital Sheets has ever invested in the company.

I have used Two Men and a Truck on a few occasions over the years. Always with good results. I had a difficult and stressful situation in that i was not in Houston at time of planning. Everything was done by phone (Kriss!!) And handled very professionally. Trey and E were so great in Houston. Then Trey and James were great in AR. I couldn't recommend enough!

Love love love these guys! 2nd time using them to move my beloved belongings. The men(Ken, Larry and Jason) were professional, courteous and fast! But didn't rush through. They took time to wrap certain items in the plastic wrap for protection and easier move. The young lady I set the appointment with was very detailed and informative and the other young lady that called the day of the move, to confirm a message I left about not coming earlier than I had scheduled(if movers were finished with the move before mine and could come early), was also very courteous, professional and informative. Highly recommend them they are AWESOME! Moving sucks but they were the best part of it....for sure!

The customer service during booking was excellent. She took all pertinent information and followed-up with an email and a call the day prior to the move. They did a great job moving me and my husband out of our second floor apartment and into a 3-story townhouse. The guys arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They wrapped all of our furniture with blankets and/or plastic. They were fully done with the move an hour ahead of schedule and had a great attitude the entire time. Within a few hours, I received a call from customer service asking for feedback. I could tell they cared about the experience we had using their services. I definitely recommend them if you are in the need for fast, attentive, and hard workers.

Absolutely wretched service that I had to cancel on the day of the move. First I was told that my move was scheduled for a certain day and time. When I called the day of, they had not booked my move and my move was not scheduled because they had no credit card on file.They had never asked me for a credit card. They told me that my move was confirmed when I called the first time.Then they told me that they could rebook my move for the same day time had changed from 2-4pm to 11am. I told them that I was not available at that time and that my move was scheduled for 2. They said that we needed to be more flexible with our time.I told them that I was not happy with there service. They suggested calling someone else, did not admit to making a mistake, and did to try to correct their mistakes. I decided to call someone else.
