I used them previously and they did a decent job even though they were 2 hours late so that is why they get 2 stars.But boy oh boy did they drop the ball yesterday on 8/16.  First, Lance is total POS with ZERO customer service and you can barely understand him when he actually does answer the phone!!!!  They gave me a time frame and after 4 hours of trying to get them to show up they stopped answering my calls and they were a complete no show and didn't even call me back that night or the next day.  I ended up using NextDoor to find some local help at a much lower price and with honest young men.  Stay far away from the slackers!!!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND.  Never showed up.Bought a Groupon and scheduled my move for 10 AM on Wed, Nov 23. I called to confirm the move the day before and Sanford & Son promised to be at my apartment at 10 AM, or even earlier, at 9 AM. I took the day off for the move to make sure that I could get everything done that day before the Thanksgiving holiday.On the day of the move, Sanford & Son called at 8:30 AM to say they would not show up until 1-2 PM because their truck had a flat tire.  I told them that I do not need a truck because my move was from the 2nd to 4th floor of the same building. They said it didn't matter, they couldn't get to my apartment until 1-2 PM.I did not hear from Sanford & Son until I called them at 2 PM to see where they were. The office didn't know, so they had the movers call me. The movers called back at 2:30 PM and said they were finishing another move and would be on their way. (Which tells me they de-prioritized my move and took other appointments first.)I then received a call from the Sanford & Son office (Operations Manager) at 3:30 PM.  He told me that the elevator at the job they were on broke, so they had to carry everything up the stairs. Therefore, they ran out of time and had to cancel my move. He offered to change my move date to the next day (Thanksgiving) or the following day and they would give me 20% off. I said that would not work and I needed someone that day to move me. The Operations Manager said he would call his cousins to have them help move me and would call me back to confirm, but never did.At this point, I've lost an entire day of vacation with a few hours left to make a move on my own. Sanford & Son gave me inconsistent messaging all day and then cancelled altogether, taking no accountability.I ended up using the app "Pick Up" to hire 2 gentlemen to come to my home at 5:30 PM the night before Thanksgiving to move me. The app was quick to respond and the gentlemen saved me in time for Thanksgiving and for me to return my keys to the old apartment.Sanford & Son has not called me back and took no responsibility for the situation.

A year later when I get my stuff out of storage I see multiple damaged items!! THE WORST COMPANY EVER! I hope they don't make another dime !

The absolute WORST experience ever.  Called to make and appointment, AND THEY NEVER SHOWED. When there are deadlines involved, they failed to deliver. I got them through Groupon, and that was a bad experience in itself. More important, I called to talk to them about the situation, and the person said that the owners would give me a ring back. Never did. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.  LESS THAN A ONE STAR REVIEW (Yelp won't allow me to post this unless I clicked on a star, so by default they are a one star but they don't even deserve that!)

Stay far away from this place!  I thought it was a safe bet given the Groupon -1) they quote you without walking the job first- expect a huge variance and improper staffing - skill and number of people2) they put a huge hole in my wall and scratched my wood floors- $500 worth of damage3) unpacked my furniture- huge dent in my stand up dryer- looks like a knee would fit in that dent nicely-  they literally took every last screw out of my bed - milking the clock and making it nearly impossible to re assemble-Slats in my bed are missing- not sure where they went but the movers were the last ones to touch it before they went into storage and the house was empty when I left- you the reader can decide for yourself what happened
