I used Door to Door to ship my belongings from California to Houston, TX and Door to Door contracted with Graebel to unload my containers.These guys showed up with my pods right on schedule and were pros throughout the whole ordeal. Long carry? No problem. Stairs? No problem. Despite the fact that Door to Door said they would just put the items in the first available location in my residence, these guys placed all of the items in different rooms and even assembled furniture when the guys I hired (Texas Moving Center) turned out to be completely useless. Seriously, extra mile. Nothing was damaged and Roberto and his team were so professional and treated my stuff with care. At the end they thanked me and left. I had to literally run after them with cash to give them an extremely well deserved tip.For in town moves or unloading, I would HIGHLY recommend these guys. A+

I used Graebel because a co-worker recommended them.  In October 2013, I got a quote from a sales representative but I thought it was really high. Also, the move dates that the sales rep had written down were wrong.  My move coordinator (Rebecca Shanebrook) walked me through all that paperwork and got the dates corrected. Also, she was able to recalculate the weight of my stuff which turned out to be a little less than the sales rep had written down. The driver showed up on time and was courteous but his helpers were a little rough with my boxes. All-in-all, I was happy with the service I got. Moving is hard enough and it's good to know that there are some people who will go the extra mile to help.

I had an excellent experience with this company, so much so that I'm wondering if the previous reviewers and I are describing the same company. Every part of the experience from the initial survey to the deliver was on-time and completely hassle free. They packed and unpacked everything carefully and were very courteous the entire time. The communication before and after the move was also more than I expected. I have no complaints and highly recommend Graebel's services.

Totally agree with all the others!  HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company to work with.  I was moved through the company I work with.  THEY assigned Graebel to me.  I had moved once before with them and it was great (a couple years ago).  This time, a total nightmare.  Like the others said NO communication, did NOT keep our promised moving window, did not CARE they didn't keep our promised moving window and cost us extra hotel nights and due to them, I had to work and couldn't be in our new house when our things were unpacked.  (They better be glad I was NOT here).SO the packers did what everyone else is saying...just sort of threw things in boxes.  They also boxed up SEVERAL items we had set off to the side that belonged in the house and told them NOT to pack about 10 times.  They left things laying around and didn't pack them like they didn't see them or something and we had to go back and tell them.  They missed a WHOLE cabinet in a bathroom and various other obvious items.  The driver even at one point told me that WE would have to go buy more boxes if we had anything else to pack!!So we move and find a house 3 DAYS before our "window" was up.  The driver tells me they made him offload our stuff but assured me the local office would still deliver us on Monday.  Over email (KNOWING I had told them NOT to email me, but to CALL me), they cancelled our move and rescheduled it for Wednesday instead and when I called and complained Krystal told me "You don't get to choose your delivery date, we do" in a very rude tone.So, after demanding they pay for our 2 extra nights hotel for doing that to us, which I have yet to get an answer from, they finally show up with our stuff on Wednesday.  I get home from work to find about half of my furniture either scratched or downright broken.  Antiques.......ruined.  They did not put our tables back together like they were supposed to.  They did not put our beds back together like they were supposed to.  They did not hook our washer and dryer back up like they were supposed to.  They LOST a piece of my daughters baby bed somewhere.  We can't put it together for her.  They broke our lawn mower and tore up the door on our clothes dryer.  Crushed boxes everywhere I can't even bring myself to open at this point after all the other damage I have already seen.  I left them a message about it and guess what?  They didn't even bother to call me today.  STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY if you value ANY of your household goods!!!

It gets worse! We just found out today delivery is going to be delayed by a week. The contract clearly specifies a delivery date range of one week, and Graebel is now claiming that our stuff will not even leave Houston until Wednesday of that week. Forget the verbal assurances; they are now fully outside of written contractual guarantees.The only reason that we even knew of this delay was because of diligent follow-up on our part. My wife repeatedly called Kristy Sparkman and left messages, but Kristy never answered her phone or returned the voicemails. If she is your liaison during your move, good luck! My wife was finally able to reach the general manager of the Houston office and was told that Kristy had attempted to contact us. It turns out that she was calling area code 714 instead of 713. Given that we are obviously in Houston and they are local, this seems like a pretty bone-headed mistake. I also don't understand how the error occurred in the first place considering that we have had a lot of back and forth phone contact with the company.Graebel is still in a position to fix this problem and meet the original schedule, but they seem unwilling. It seems that they do not think it is worth the cost of fixing the problem. I really hope that our possessions are not getting damaged sitting in +100 degree Houston mid-August heat.
