East End Transfer & Storage

If I could give negative stars I would. We had "United" aka East End Transfer move us from Houston to Ca back in June and we are STILL WAITING for resolution to all of the stuff they broke. The entire process from start to finish was a joke. We were promised an entire truck (4 bedrooms 4 bathrooms and tons of outdoor stuff) they show up in a small truck that was half full. After calling our agent she said there was nothing she could do and they would make it all fit. During the move one employee damaged so many items I finally kicked him out of the house. About mid way through a uhaul arrives! What??? A uhaul?? I could move myself in a uhaul! We were promised an air ride semi! Well...not much you can do with flights leaving and a house that's sold. So they finished loading. As you can imagine, our belongings were delayed. Then showed up in 2 separate shipments.  Boxes missing. Over 15K worth of broken and damaged things and HERE WE STILL WAIT. Everyone we have dealt with is a liar and doesn't follow through. For nearly 10 grand move yourself! This company should be investigated or closed down. I cannot stress this enough. RUN FROM THEM.

This moving company is excellent! They are affiliated with Mayflower, which is why I called them originally. We had a big move and wanted a full size 18 wheeler so that we could make only one trip.They sent Jack, a sales associate, out to our home to check out all of our belongings and work up a flat rate quote. He was very polite and I found their quote to be competitive, especially for the fact that they have full size trucks.When it came time to move Calvin and his crew showed up (4 men total) and they worked their BUTTS off for about 9 hours. Never a complaint, always polite and friendly and hard working. I was VERY impressed. Nothing was broken or even so much as scratched. They wrapped everything like frames, TVs, glass, mattresses, etc. and they disassembled and reassembled the bed frames.I can't stay enough about how easy they made the moving process!

If I could give negative stars here, I would. This company is just horrible. Maybe they can handle local moves ok, but they can't handle long distance moves at all!  About 25% of our shipment showed up almost two weeks late, and United/ east end offered no compensation for this. Both our main shipment and the overflow shipment were packed horribly. Water bottles, and Gatorade bottles, many of which were full, were found throughout the trailers. Furniture hardware (bolts, etc) was just placed in drawers without a bag.  Packing tape was used on wood, which left several pieces with tape glue residue on them. Boxes marked fragile were put underneath heavy boxes. Boxes containing valuable art work were placed horizontally in the trailers, as opposed to vertically to minimize movement.  Our son's year old $7000 furniture set sustained multiple large dents and scratches by the loading crew. The contractors they sent to our house to repair damage done by the loading team splattered stain on a door and wall, and are not taking responsibility for this. I have pictures of all of this damage, including many of the pieces before they were damaged. April from east end was pretty much useless during the whole process, essentially blaming "the home office" at every turn. I would never use United or its agents again, especially east end. It looks like another reviewer had a very similar experience with east end recently. The only bright spot about this move was the delivery crew in Denver. They were awesome!!

This company moved a compressor from Texas to Miami, Florida for us this past year. The compressor arrived on the date we had scheduled without a scratch. The prices beat all of the other companies in the area and I would reccommend this company to anyone  moving the staff is very informative and helpful. We will be using this company in the future.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Relocating cross country. They surveyed our property and promised a load date. Next week Truck shows up 80% full. Driver kept stating he would fit our stuff on the truck. They were bringing other people's furniture in our home to disassemble it and consolidate while enjoying our A/C. Toward the end of day driver kept saying a overflow truck was only 20 mins away. Once I was finally told they couldn't fit 30% our property I started calling the company. Operations president (April) begged me to go to the new location and they would get the remaining goods picked up in a day or two. They ended the day by strapping our mattresses onto the back door of the trailer!! Of course after being on the outside of the trailer 3 days in transit our $1000 mattress was wet!! 8 days later our washer/dryer and other property was still at the old location waiting to be picked up and ops president had no answers. We fired United/east end transfer and hired another company to finish our move but we are still way upside down. Wouldn't hire this company for even the smallest job!!
