Three months ago, we used “4 My Kidz” movers to move 45 miles from south Houston to north Houston. If you value your belongings and your money, do NOT use this company.
Here was our experience:
The company gave us a quote to pack our belongings, store them for a month, and then unpack them at our new home an hour away. We agreed to the original quote and paid half of the amount as required up front, with the understanding that the remaining balance would be paid upon delivery of our belongings. When it came time for us to close on our home and move in, the price changed. Veronica told us we must pay almost THREE TIMES as much as originally quoted. At this point, obviously, they still had our belongings, which gave us little choice but to agree.

The move into our new home was originally stated that it would be one particular day. The movers ended up being SIX HOURS late. This put them working until after 11pm the first night. They said they would return the next morning. Again, they were SIX HOURS late the second day.
Instead of carrying boxes labeled for our children’s rooms upstairs, they put them in the master bedroom downstairs to avoid the extra steps up the stairs.

For all of the dress attire on hangers, we expected them to use standard wardrobe boxes for moving. Instead, they left the clothes on hangers, crumpled them up, and put them in regular boxes.

They put attached legs to a table completely backwards. They put a bunk bed together and left it in the middle of the room. They did not attach a hutch back to the dresser. They left screws all over the place for our young children to find.

Only 1 out of 4 workers was wearing safety gear (back brace).

They damaged many, many items of furniture, our refrigerator, dishes, our Berkey water system, and walls. Our brand new, never lived in home now has countless dents in the new walls. We understand, reasonably, that things get broken in a move. This “business” promised reimbursement and then avoided our emails. One example of their behavior: they broke our very large IKEA bookshelf. Instead of telling us this in honesty, they moved the entire row of storage baskets up to the next level in order to hide the damage they had done. That simple act was an example of this “company’s” larger problems of dishonesty and immoral “business” practices.

“Company” and “business” are words I use loosely, since a lawyer we visited with was not able to find a registered business with this name in the state’s database.

They misrepresented themselves as bonded and insured. We repeatedly asked for proof of insurance after we knew how much damage was done. We never did see proof of insurance.

We repeated asked for copies of our invoices (on five separate occasions) to understand where the price increase came from. We never did receive our invoices.

Veronica promised reimbursement after they took pictures of the damage they had done. They did reimburse a small amount for the kitchenware that they destroyed. They ignored altogether our requests for reimbursement of the refrigerator, bookshelf, and damaged walls.

This company is deceitful and immoral, and actually isn’t even truly a company in Texas. Learn from our mistakes, and do not use them.

Best movers we've used! So friendly and helpful. We moved our apartment furnishings up to a new 3rd floor unit and they got it all up the stairs and done in less than the time we set aside. Ira and Robert were so fast and courteous! Great team!

My husband & I booked this company to move one upright piano from a house to our house. Below is the review of our experience:Positives:The two gentlemen were courteous & polite. They made pleasant conversation and listened to comments we offered to make moving the piano a little easier (nothing big, just stuff like moving carpets etc). *They got the piano loaded & to my house in under an hour, & tucked it into its space in our living room just right. Negatives: *The safety of the movers was put at risk as a result of not having the proper moving equipment needed to move an upright piano. No dolly, no piano harness, nothing to brace their back and abdomen. This is not the fault of the movers but rather the company. It is their responsibly to ensure their employees are properly equipped. *The arrival time scheduled was 9:30, the truck arrived at 10:40 (We were given notice regarding the late arrival however). Overall:An excellent experience that was marred only by a lack of safety standards by the company itself. The movers did an excellent job with the equipment they had.

I'm not sure why there isn't a way to give No Stars yet. Please do not use these crooks. They were over 2 hours late and we had to call them! That was just the beginning....for a 1 bedroom apartment, it took them over 4 hours because they had NO DOLLY and paused between every run to the truck to be on their phone or smoke cigarettes! Then they upped the price by the time we arrived and refused to open the truck until full payment was made. They "estimated" time of completion. We had to call the police to mediate the situation when our PayPal payment wasn't sufficient for them. We payed through PayPal as the contract stated but they said that type of PayPal payment wasn't acceptable so the police had to monitor and make sure they cancelled the 1st payment to make yet another payment!! This was the worst moving experience ever. The woman was rude, kept saying she was a Child of God, called my friend a liar. I am baffled that companies like this are allowed to stay in business. The police officer even told her that if this goes to claims court, she would lose and be forced to pay 3x restitution. Run. Run from this company.

SCAM! Do not use them. I had to create a fraud alert with my bank.Extremely low budget and unprofessional. Multiple red flags: contract 'mistake' that would have cost me an hour more than I was quoted - shady payment options - STAY AWAYRead the bad reviews (like I should have) and find someone else! The low prices aren't worth having to deal with fraud alerts in your bank account!**Update**Same day this review was written, I receive a threatening email from the business at 10pm at night. That's pretty upsetting from a business that has my home address on file.Seriously, STAY AWAY!
