I have used them in the past  when Strongarm helped move me last year from Houston to Fort Worth per recommendation of a guy my dad worked with. They showed up on time, and with a truck that I was sure wouldn't fit all of my belongings, but they proved me wrong.  They handled my furniture with care with minimal to no scratches from what I saw. I had them move me once again a month ago and they were TERRIBLE!! They guys we're supposed to come between 8-9, didn't show up until 11:30 and couldn't use a GPS to save their life. They moved everything at a pretty good pace but scratched up a bunch of door frames and walls, oh and DESTROYED my washer! They dropped it down a couple of stairs on they dolly and it wouldn't work again. Had a repairman come to look at the reasoning and he said it was beyond fixable due to "traumatic handling." Mac came and looked at the washer the next day, basically saying he didn't believe it was their fault, but put in a report with Emmanuel regarding financial reimbursement for the brand new washer we had to buy...haven't heard a peep from him since and that was over a month ago, despite multiple calls and voicemails left. What a coward. These movers are terrible and have an even worse example as a boss.

The worst moving experience! I hired 3 guys for 3 hours, it took them 2 hours to load my small one bedroom apartment contents into a truck which should have only taken collectively 1-1 1/2 hours tops. One guy pretty much just stood around and watched the other 2 work. I eventually told them to stop because I knew I was going to go over my 3 hour time frame leaving multiple boxes still in my apartment that I had to move myself. They complained about having to lug my washer and dryer up to the third floor of my townhouse which I get that it sucks but that's your job and the reason I hired you guys in the first place. They messed up my couch from it being dragged across the concrete, the entire top of my dresser was scratched, and the legs on my dining room table were scratched. They were also using a furniture dolly to move my washer and dryer from my second story apartment to the truck, before another guy helped get it downstairs they were basically bouncing it off the stairs and now my dryer no longer dries. They also did this with quite a few boxes as well, thank goodness I packed my glasses well and left my delicate glass in my apartment for me to move myself.  I will definitely be taking this as a lesson learned, for as stressful as moving already is they certainly didn't help at all. I do not recommend at all and suggest looking elsewhere for quality movers.

I recently used Strongarm to moving my household items from a moving truck into my home.  (They did not actually transport my furnishings.)Setting up the appointment was fairly simple, and the owner, Mac, was flexible about the appointment given that I did not know the specific time of day the shipment would arrive.  He was easily accessible via phone and e-mail.The two movers arrived over a half hour later than the appointment window scheduled.  The two gentlemen were very friendly and presentable; however, they needed a lot of supervision and help.  I spent the first 35 minutes unloading the truck by myself.  They would carry a box or two as I handed them to them.  They picked up the pace a little, but they took lots of small breaks to take phone calls and text.  Furthermore, on several occasions while I was in the truck unloading, they were in the house waiting for me to direct them where put the one or two boxes they picked up.  Regardless, many of the boxes did not make it to the correct rooms.They also seemed to lack experience.   They had extreme difficulty getting some of the furniture just through the front door (normal size) - not to mention the things that went up the stairs.  I've moved the same furniture several times, and never had to provide an ounce of help/guidance - I was sore the next day from helping these guys.  This lack of experience resulted in a lot of marks deep scratches in the walls, which was on top of lots of black hand prints in various places on the walls.  Several items of furniture were damaged slightly to moderately despite being wrapped.  I understand sometimes this happens, but it shouldn't happen when I'm providing assistance.  They also neglected to tell me they damaged the items. I stopped them after 3.5 hours. This was to move a large 1 bedroom from a truck parked outside into a large townhome.  This wouldn't be too bad if I only had to direct them - not do the heavy lifting, and the boxes made it to the correct rooms (a quarter were left in the garage).  As a comparison the move from the originating condo took 4.5 hours and included having to1) wait for an elevator; 2) drive 25 minutes to a shipping terminal; then 3) very carefully load the goods into a larger truck with very little help from me.Lastly, I never heard back from Mac after relaying information and pictures of the damage.  I might have been willing to give a higher rating if I had at least gotten a response.

Appointment setup was fairly easy; I agree with S.P, however, regarding them being late and  never calling to notify or even to confirm the appointment for that matter.  They were friendly and did a good job moving all my stuff; very professional.  On top of that, I was able to set up my appointment only a day or two in advance. Overall recommendation.

I recently used Strongarm for my move and came away from the experience very impressed.  They far exceeded my expectations on every dimension - professional, courteous, careful with my belongings (all furniture and electronics were wrapped in blankets and shrink-wrapped), punctual, and extremely affordable.  Considering these guys were 20-50% less expensive than everyone else I checked, it's surprising that they don't have more reviews on here.  There's nothing you'd get elsewhere you wouldn't get with Strongarm (unless it's more people and a quicker move).Highly, highly recommended.  Thank you Mac!!
