We have the proper equipment such as piano boards, piano dollies, padding, tools, cargo straps and even cotton wrap to protect the finish of your piano. We provide short notice & emergency moves.Free boxes & packing materials with any booked move.We provide free pick up & delivery of any items that are to be donated to local charities.We hang & install flat screen TV's, mirrors, pictures and chandeliers.

History

Established in 2001. Legacy Moving Services started in 2001 in Naples, Florida.  Our company actually started  as a small vending company, however, all of our customers kept calling us thinking we were a moving company.  With the amount of calls received and my knowledge in delivery and warehousing, my wife and I decided to take on moving in addition to the vending company.  Almost 20 years later and 2 young children, we are still moving items locally, statewide and across the United Sttates!

This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Not only did I work with Moving Coordinator Rob for two days to solidify my move but he called me several times to square out the details of what was going to be a complicated move with multiple locations. However when the day came no one showed up. When I called Rob to verify that someone was on their way he informed me that no one was coming and he hadn't called me because he didn't have my number. Given that he had called me multiple times before and put it on the contract he sent me, he was lying to avoid admitting that he just didn't care. As a small business owner myself I would go out of business if I treated my customers this way. Rob could not have been more disrespectful. I will be letting everyone I know to take their moving business anywhere else!

We only needed a mover on an hourly basis for a short move on short notice. We called around for quotes and availability -- and Legacy Moving was able to squeeze us into a slot despite being completely booked. Legacy Moving only requires a two hour minimum unlike other firms that were going to charge us upwards to $100 just to drive to our house and another $100 to drive back to their office once they finished. The move itself was smooth, efficient, and had no issues. If you're looking for a fast turnaround and good hourly rates, then these are the guys!

After posting the review the company reached out to me and offered to refund one hour of the moving since it took so long and they were late. These were the only two negative things about the move. Their carefulness and consideration for our floors and furniture were exceptional.

Let me first start by saying that I believe that the service I received from Legacy's employees are a direct reflection of the owner of the company, Doug.  The employees are overworked, underpaid, and treated badly.  I witnessed it firsthand.  The guys had a great attitude with me.  However, when your boss is working you from 9:00AM until 1:00AM, there is a cost.  Unfortunately, our family paid that price in our move with Legacy.  We have moved five times long distance in 20 years.  The move with Legacy cost me more in dollars and durress than all of those moves combined.  Doug over promised and under delivered.  He spreads his guys too thin in name of the almighty dollar.  I had put my deposit down and booked my move with Doug.  I was suppose to have packers for 2 days prior to my move.  I had one for 1/2 of a day prior to my move day.  i kept getting pushed back and pushed back, even to the point that Doug wanted to push my move off an entire day!  Come to find out, he had doubled booked.  So instead of taking care of his customer, me, he went after the bucks and booked his guys to move someone instead of being at my house to pack  us up.  They showed up at 5:00PM and didn't leave until 1:30AM.  After telling Doug how rude and inconsiderate this was of me and my job and my children's school the next day, he told me I had no choice!  Our belongings finally make it to the destination, and almost EVERY SINGLE PIECE is damaged.  Dealing with Legacy Moving has cost me so much more than the $7,500 that I was charged to move our household!!  If your sanity is worth anything to you, do not use Legacy Moving.

I had a different experience with Legacy moving than the other reviews, but I understand that it's the luck of the draw for what crew you will get. I was booked for a Friday morning between 8-9.  Got a call at 8:15 the morning of the move that the truck was smoking and they'd need to move me on Saturday instead. I shared with them that it needed to happen Friday, and they said they'd call me back. They showed up at 10a with a working truck and three crew. One crew member immediately quit, because they had been on a project the night before until 1am. I was fully packed (no additional labor for packing) in a 2,300 sf single story house with just myself moving a few miles down the road and it took from 10a until after 7p to complete the job. The crew did not have some of the tools required to disconnect major appliances, but I had what was needed so make sure to keep tools out if you use Legacy to move.  We had to make two trips and I did not have a packed house full of furniture, so plan on likely two trips. There was a large dent made in the wall of my previous house that they didn't point out when happened, which would have been helpful. Overall the two guys worked like crazy for 9 hours, but they were understaffed especially since the second crew member was brand new. This is a management issue, not a crew issue, so just make sure the crew you get is the number of people you are promised. They didn't charge me for the final 1.5 hours, and knocked down the price a few dollars per hour to make up for the missing guys, but overall not a smooth experience. Maybe just an off day, but make sure you get what you were quoted and sold.
