Firefighting`s Finest Moving and Storage

Got a bid recently for a future move. I believe it was $135 an hour with an estimate of 7 hours. I don't think it should take that long but what do I know, I'm not a mover. However, my complaint it about the .75 hour charge ($100) for drive time to my house before the move. The facility is located in West Fort Worth and so am I. This is a ridiculous charge that just nickels and dimes the customer. I don't do business with companies that try and milk customers out of additional money with frivolous charges. I work in EMS, I take patients from hospital to hospital, hospital to rehab, hospital to nursing home, and much more... We don't charge patients for the time it takes for us to get from our station to the hospital. Plumbers, contractors, etc. Don't charge you for the drive time from their facility to your house. You're not working until you get to my house so why in the world would I pay you to drive to my house??? I have no problem with your regular rate, I want your business to thrive and I realize you have overhead, but don't act like the $135 an hour charge is not sufficient to pay your employees to get to my home .------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FYI, I had originally written on my review "PS... Many people think you're actually being moved by fire fighters, this is not the case. The company is owned/operated by fire fighters". Apparently Firefighters Finest was not very happy with this remark and had a lawyer contact me. The lawyer had nothing to say about the majority of the review, the only problem they had was with me making the statement I just quoted. So as I try and be as honest and thorough as possible, I told the lawyer I was absolutely willing to update my review provided evidence that all movers are certified firefighters, employed with a fire department, or are volunteers. So here is the response:"It is accurate to state that Firefighting's Finest Moving utilizes off duty professional firefighters as drivers, laborers and warehouse staff, but also employs non-firefighters to move its customers. No representations are made by the company that firefighters are utilized exclusively"So, My original review stating it is not the case that fire fighters are the ones actually moving you may have been too broad. Let me narrow it down a bit. As the company does not guarantee you will be moved by fire fighters (actually at your house touching your furniture) and does not seem to have a policy that I am aware of that will guarantee at least one fire fighter will be on every move, it's a possibility that you will book Firefighters Finest Movers and come up a little short on actual fire fighters...lol.I hope this is enough to clarify all points. I also hope that Firefighters Finest will actually look at my main review and make some improvements!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Actual emails with lawyer. Specifically, the claim that Firefighting's Finest Moving does not utilize firefighters for its moving services. This is false. As you correctly state, Firefighting's Finest Moving is owned and operated by off duty local firefighters. Firefighting's Finest Moving also utilizes off duty local firefighters to provide moving services for its customers. including drivers, laborers and warehouse staff. I am requesting that you revise your Yelp review to remove the inaccurate information.Thank you for your anticipated cooperation to alleviate this concern.Clayton - It is accurate to state that Firefighting's Finest Moving utilizes off duty professional firefighters as drivers, laborers and warehouse staff, but also employs non-firefighters to move its customers. I'm not sure of the type of proof you're interested in to verify. It wouldn't be prudent to disclose a roster of the names of employees and their affiliations with local departments. Seriously wonderful! I have moved several times through college and post grad, and this is the best moving experience I have had. The movers were fast, prompt, polite, and very careful. The movers even helped me decide where to put furniture and gave me time to put on the bed skirt. I will be recommending them for years to come! Thanks!!

I have used Firefighting's Finest Moving several times over the years for both business and personal and they have done an excellent job.  Excellent customer service and the movers are very pleasant and helpful.  They do a great job.

Efficient, accommodating, friendly! They bent over backwards to help us with anything we asked or needed. They worked quickly and carefully. Very happy with this company!

My crew.. Reavis & Nick C.. Did a great job! They were on time, and very efficient. They made my move quick and easy! They were professional, and careful with my things. I will definitely call these guys for my next move! From  booking the move, to moving.. Was an overall great experience! Thx guys!!!
