This is the worse move I've ever had and I've moved several times across country. They packed art for me and it came broken and ruined. They insisted on soft-crating antiques and then lost the hardware to put them together. I asked about insurance several times and got the same answer... it was my choice BUT they had very few claims. Do yourself a big favor and find another company to move you.

They were on time. Even though there turned out to be extra work and my estimate on the amount of furniture I had for a one bedroom was off, they stayed until the job was done. They worked their butts off to meet that deadline and keep things within the estimate. This was in February 2016 and everything arrived just fine; nothing broken.I will definitely work with Element Moving and Storage again!

I gave Element and good review the day after the move. Since then I have discovered many nicks and dings in woodwork that I have chosen not to go back to them on.  I have them fixed myself. My washing machine on the other hand is out of balance. I paid extra to for them to stabilize it. It is not in balance and it worked completely prior to the move. I have called many many many times. I even had someone tell me they would send someone out. No one came. I have called yet again,  no return phone call. I recant my prior review. It does seem the bad reviews are true. Do not hire this company.

I recently contracted with Element Moving and Storage LLC to pack and move my belonging from Dallas to NYC.   The move was on July 25th, with delivery in New York City on July 31, 2017 (I paid an extra $1400 for a shorter delivery window). It was the worst move of my life because of the horrible service and incredible dishonesty of Element!!  They misrepresented their services and out-and-out lied to me.  It was a classic case of bait-and-switch.  RUN - DO NOT WALK - AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.  After multiple interstate moves over 35 years, this was my WORST experience and an absolute NIGHTMARE. I will provide specifics:1. When I called Element for an estimate, I asked specifically for a service where my belonging would not be moved from truck to truck after loading at pick up (my house).  Kyle (sales person and my POC) said absolutely not and promised that my things would be picked up by an Element 27 ft. (smaller than a large moving van) truck (not a rented truck) and that the same truck would deliver my belonging to New York City.  This was important to me since a number of other moving companies that I had contacted said that my belongings would be driven on a large moving van (along with perhaps several other clients' things) then offloaded to smaller truck for delivery to NYC which did not allow large moving vans.  On moving day, the Element team arrived in a rented Penske truck, said that my things would be re-loaded at the Elements offices onto an 18 wheeler moving van, with another clients' belongings going to Connecticut, then driven to New Jersey where my things would be again moved to a smaller truck for delivery to NYC.  When I became upset at the misrepresentation - and having no options on moving day - I called the Element office to speak to Kyle who, on the previous day, told me that he would be available by phone all day long to assist if there were any problems with the move.  Surprise, surprise:  Kyle conveniently wasn't available ANYTIME that day (or the next), and I was "handled" by Jazimine ("the enforcer") who was not only unsympathetic but said that they would never have made that representation (e.g., she called me a liar).  I ONLY CONTRACTED WITH ELEMENT BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME THAT COULD PROVIDE THIS SERVICE!!!!  I should have contracted with the Dallas representatives of Allied or North American Van Lines who were expensive but at least honest.  Jazimine offered to take $100 off the $6500+ moving costs, or to stop the move and return my deposit.  Did I have a choice?  Absolutely not. I had to move that day.  No apologies from Element except from the packers who, I must say, did a great job.  But Element did not provide the service I thought I was contracting for.  Total dishonesty.  I have written notes from my calls with Element as documentation of their promises, having done extensive research on  various moving companies.2. I also asked Kyle if the same crew that packed my belongings in Dallas would drive and deliver them to NYC.  He told me that only the foreman would travel with my things (fair enough) but that all of my belongings would be handled by Element employees, not contractors, so not to worry.  Well, another bold-faced lie!  Not only did a single person from the Dallas crew at my house not accompany my things to NY, a "pick-up" contract crew from New Jersey delivered them.  Not only were they not Element employees but they never even heard of Element!  They were day laborers.  However, the crew that unpacked me was very nice and courteous.  I gave them very nice tips since I found out that they were being paid only $10/hour for this back-breaking work.  Nice job, Elements.  You pocketed the $6500 and gave the laborers chump change.3. One expensive dining room chair was broken in the course of the move.  Leg was cracked off, not at a joint where it could be repaired.  I carefully read the Full Value Payment insurance (which I paid EXTRA to obtain) information and, as instructed on the form, filed a written claim with Element. After emailing them twice, Jazimine referred me to file with a third-party company to file.  I did so, after a complicated registration process, provided two photos of the chair, contract number, and other information as requested.  I received a message back that they needed more photos and a copy of the contract.  I provided them.  Then they said they needed additional information from Element.  After two weeks of this nonsense, they finally said my claim was registered.  Two more weeks went by - I inquired about the status of my claim in late August. They said that they were assessing claims dating back to early June 2017 and that my claim was "in the queue" but they could not tell me when it would be processed.  Who knows how long until I get reimbursed for my broken chair?I am posting this on consumer-facing review sites and also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General's office.  If it is no

For starters, the low reviews must be wrong.  They can't pertain to to the performance of this organization.  Element handled every aspect of our move with politeness, flexibility, thoroughness and practicality. After taking a detailed inventory, Element made a plan that it discussed with us and answered our questions. It packed up most of our property in plastic boxes other than particularly fragile or odd-sizes items like lamps. This approach reduced our cost and allowed us to stack boxes rather than cut up and waste many bulky cardboard boxes. These boxes also made our unpacking less burdensome. We did not have to stumble over, store or cut up cardboard boxes.  Element picked up the plastic boxes at convenient times which was such a big relief of getting back space in the house. Our property and premises suffered no damage, which is amazing given the size and weight of furniture and two days of packing our "stuff."Over all, this company has its act together and delivered, literally, on the promises it made to us  and the high standard we set for them.
