Given the chance to do this again, I would not use ATB, but they DID move my stuff.I made a reservation for movers over a week in advance for Saturday, 8-9 am, knowing that one truck was out of service and that I may have to move my appointment. I was called early in the week of the move and told that the truck wasn't back yet, and we needed to move the appointment as expected. We settled on Friday at 3-4 pm. They worked with my girlfriend, were accommodating, etc. No problems here. Great communication.Note: They don't charge gas fees, but do charge for "travel time" to and from shop. No way to confirm actual travel time, completely up to the driver.Problems start here:Two days before the move, I get a call confirming my appointment for Friday from 12-1. When I explained that I was supposed to be from 3-4 pm and that I had meetings moved around so I couldn't make the 12-1, I was told "I don't know what to tell you. You're on the board for 12-1." We went back and forth and eventually he told me, "I'll see what I can do." Eventually, magically, I got my 3-4 slot back. In hindsight, this is a great way for moving companies to switch up their appointment times to fill their day - I just wish I had been given the option and not been told "your problem, not ours."On the day of the move, I got home at 2:45. No sign of movers by 3:30, so I gave the company a call. They were embarrassed (good sign!) and said they'd get back to me. They called back shortly and said that the movers were caught on a job about 45 minutes away and it would be 5:30-6 pm until they showed up. I asked for a discount, "no way; out of our control, happens all the time." Agreed to 5:30-6.Got a call about 5 saying it was going to be 6:30-7. Got a call around 6:30 saying it was going to be 7:30 or 8. No compensation/discount/refund. I'm sitting in my apartment on the floor.7:30, movers finally arrive. Begin complaining about last job, my job is going to be so easy, etc. etc. etc.I very carefully showed them a piece of furniture, explaining it was fragile, it was heavy, I would be checking it after the moved, etc. They said "No problem, don't worry about anything, we pay for damages."They move all my stuff. Don't bother marking boxes "fragile" or "this side up" - they're going to move them however they want. Everything gets thrown in one big cart (HOWEVER it will "fit") and taken to the truck.When they unloaded my furniture, I checked the piece, and sure enough, there was a nick in the finish in wood. After the movers completed moving boxes, which I helped them with, I showed them the damage.We went from "we'll take care of you" to "we've been busting our ass for you, cut us a break." I was yelled at by both movers, one of them was a little in my face. I don't think I saw this part in the papers I signed.I contacted their office sales manager, told her the situation, told her I would sign for the move, but not to charge my card until this had been resolved. I also told her that if they did, I would reject the charge on VISA and her reply was "okay that's fine we'll take care of it." Spoiler alert: they charged my card right away.I contacted them the next week to resolve the issues, and no matter my suggestion, they weren't willing to completely solve the problem or partially refund me. I've been accused of lying by both managers at this point, and they're 100% unwilling to help me out. I have recorded audio and photos, and they don't care.I informed her that I would contact the BBB and reject the charge with VISA. She hung up on me.Bottom line on 2 stars: They moved my stuff from A to B. Most of it stayed intact, they weren't wiling to own up to the damage they did do. They're pretty hostile if you have a problem. If you shut up and leave them alone, they'll do their job however they want.

We were very pleased with the service we received from Around the Block Moving!  Our two crew members worked hard and were very professional and friendly.  They arrived early (what, what?!) and ready to work.  We moved from a 2nd floor apt and storage unit to a 3 story townhouse, and they handled it like it was nothing.  Getting movers with their own truck is a no-brainer, especially with their reasonable prices!  We've had experiences with 3 different moving companies, and this has been our favorite thus far.  At the rate we move around, I'm sure we'll be calling them again in a year!

I had a two bedroom small apartment with a queen bed, king bed, IKEA dresser and small dining table, a couch and about 10-15 medium sized boxes.  They send two guys over who literally took 8-9 hours to complete the move 20min down the road. Most of the time wasted was due to their choice of walking down a long hallway to use the slow elevator, drop off everything outside the elevator, then load the elevator with a few things, go down one floor, unload those items, go back up and repeat. This was their alternative to simply walking down a shorter hallway to use the stairs to go down one floor straight to their truck.  They charged $1000 and added a fuel surcharge because the delivery ended after 9pm (or 10pm, w/e).  They started at 2pm.  I could've done the move using camels in less time, including the time it takes to pick up their excrement along the way.  They refunded  me $100 for my complaint to the owner/manager and still maintain their "expert" movers always choose the best strategy when it comes to stairs vs elevator.  Note that this move happened two years ago but is still fresh in my mind. I just had to write about it because every time I see one of their trucks on the road I feel another guy is getting screwed over every day.  Never using again and will always recommend against them.

The best moving service that I have ever used! The movers were friendly and took very good care of my things. They worked quickly and helped make the move as painless as possible! I will definitely be using them again the next time I move and will recommend them to everyone!

This was an amazing moving experience. Trey and Freddie were incredible at moving all my stuff fast but being careful and professional. I would highly recommend! Also, it was very affordable.
