WE recently used Countrywide to move some furniture from PA to NJ. They were the most reasonable, their admin person was excellent and the two gentlemen that moved our furniture were terrific. They communicated with us as to when they would arrive and were prompt. Would highly recommend this company.

TL/DR: Mediocre service; the owner told me he would release private information learned by the movers inside our house in retaliation for posting a bad review. Note: As a courtesy I provided a draft of my review to Countrywide prior to posting. We have some fundamental disagreements on my day-of concerns, so I modified my review to focus on concerns on customer privacy/service.The good:Prior to the move, Kerry was helpful, professional, and made sure we had the details we needed. The movers were polite, friendly, respectful, and flexible. They didn't mind when my husband and I changed our minds on where something should go, and even helped us unpack a new couch that was still in the packaging - not originally part of the deal. They were up front about what they can't move (propane/gas cans, baskets...); neat, on time, careful with our walls. We felt comfortable giving them a better-than-average tip given the above.The mediocre:If this were the end of it, I might not have even gotten around to writing a review of the company.1. All but one of the movers: fast, efficient, diligent. The last was nice but always taking breaks, not really working, moving small mirror here and there, stopping my husband to show him videos on his phone. Three separate entities observed this behavior: me, my husband, our neighbors.2. We moved from a very small (albeit full) 2 bedroom house 15 minutes away. Despite estimating with Kerry, the truck was not enough to support the move in a single trip, and the company did not go back to finish. The movers finished two hours ahead of the estimate - in theory, nothing to complain about, but in our case because the move wasn't finished, it indicates something went wrong in the estimation/execution process. If, as Countrywide responded, I substantially underestimated the items that needed to be moved, then the move wouldn't have been "completed" so early. My husband and I had to take off work the next day, rent a truck, and finish the move ourselves. Countrywide perceives that my husband told them "not to worry about" the rest of the items, but neither my husband nor I recall that conversation. Some ownership can be on us (Maybe we underestimated by some percentage; we didn't do a thorough enough walkthrough before we left with the movers; I didn't think to call the main office to demand resolution during the actual Sunday move); some of it on the company (didn't execute on the estimate they had; didn't offer a solution; missed items that we asked them to pack; expected the customer to find a solution on the day of rather than the professionals) and we can argue back and forth all day.At the end of the day, while the above was disappointing for us as customers, it's not the end of the world.The very bad:When I called to provide this feedback, I was anticipating a quick, "Sorry, we should have offered to go back to the house for you to finish the job, and I'll talk to the guy who wasn't working hard" and leave it at that. I was/am not looking for any compensation. But unfortunately, the owner told me he would respond to this review with some embarrassing private information from our house the movers shared with him (I can only imagine he was referring to the personal intimate item I had inadvertently left under our bed? I can't recommend a company that threatens to expose sensitive details from men who have been inside your home). The owner pointed out several times that he "saved me money" by finishing early, missing the point that we spent more time and money to rent a truck personally to finish the move ourselves. He said everything was our fault, that I'm the type of person that is "never happy," and that he sees no issue with the mover stopping work to watch YouTube videos on his phone during the move. He told me he will involve lawyers if I write a bad review, and he berated me multiple times for not knowing all of the movers' names off the top of my head. In the past, someone must have implied that the owner's accent was problematic because at the beginning of the call he told me that I was complaining only because I must have issues with people with accents. This was literally not even on my radar before he mentioned it. He was adamant that he wouldn't apologize.I could never have imagined this reaction to my call and a chance to satisfy a disappointed customer. I hate that he has our credit card information, house address, and whatever other personal information he refers to, and am admittedly nervous about whatever he plans to share in retaliation to this review. After the above call, Kerry called, apologized, let me know that my concerns were serious, and offered to send another truck back (no charge) to finish the move. By then we had already finished loading our personally rented truck, but I wish I had talked to her prior to/instead of the owner - this was certainly more than expected. There are plenty of better options in the area.

From reservation with Kerry to assembling the final furniture at the new house, everything went smoothly.Lamont and his crew were fast and efficient.  They are very polite to a fault.This is the first time I am giving a business a 5 star and they deserve it.

Based on all the great reviews, I filled out their detailed web form and submitted it to get a moving quote for a move basically 5 miles from one small apartment to one house at end of the month.   I got no response from the web form.  I called them the next day to find out if they'd gotten the form and when I might expect the quote.  I got a guy who was polite but kind of curt.  He asked me when I submitted the form - after business hours or what - I honestly didn't remember if I sent it at 3, 4 or 5 pm.  He told me they had received nothing via the web  and to give them my number and they would have to call me back "in a few hours" (? a few hours? this is just for a quote on a relatively small amount of stuff.)He then asked me when I wanted to move and I said end of the month (since I am on a month to month lease and it is not cheap and I have already closed on the house).  He proceeds to tell me they have no availability and that was the end of the call. I understand that sometimes companies might not have any availability but this wasn't exactly the five star professional communications experience I was expecting from the other reviews.  Based on this contact I would strongly recommend that other people not use the web form (My computer is only 2 years old and usually has no problem with web forms) and also that if you want to use these guys you better plan way in advance.Edited to update previous review:  I did hear later that day from Kerry who apparently had received my form via the web without the other person's knowledge and sent me the estimate via e-mail.  She was very pleasant to deal with but confirmed what the other person said - no availability for any dates near end of the month - so I was not able to work with them.  Since Kerry was fine to deal with, despite the lack of availability,  I have increased the rating from 2 stars to 3  but the first person really was not that great to deal with so maybe the best thing is to just call and ask for Kerry.

Best moving experience ever. We got the full service where they did the packing and moving. Everything got here safe and sound. Their pricing is not cheap but is competitive.Some of the guys look a little rough around the edges, but rest assure, they are professionals through and through. Throughout the experience I got the feeling that everyone took pride in what they do.Would highly recommend.
