Jim was great him and his team moved us from Center City to South Philly with out an issue very Careful not to Damage any of our Belongings. What I liked most about this Business is that it's family owned and operated and the Owner was on site Working next to his guys!!!! You don't really see that much but again I will be using them again if we decide to move in the future.Thanks again Jim-Charles

I originally found Adelphia Moving on Thumbtack, and chose it because of its positive reviews. The price was reasonable and the process to book it was simple. The moving crew, Ray, John, and James, was great! They were professional, friendly and respectful. (And very patient with a woman who had reached the end of her rope, and was on the verge of a nervous breakdown!! ;-) They were prompt, very well organized, and they moved everything quickly, while also being very careful of our possessions. You can tell they were experienced and had a system perfected for moving.They made the process of moving (which I consider pretty much as fun as getting a root canal...) so much easier.I hope I NEVER have to move again, but if I have do, I will use Adelphia Moving. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great moving company.

Hired them to move my elderly parents across town. Timing was crucial because we came from out of town, only had freight elevator for one day, etc, etc...Talked with Dave several times through yelp and by phone and confirmed 2 days prior. all seemed well until the day of the move when they didn't show!!!!!Called and emailed Dave-- no response. Told my husband to try ( different phone) and miraculously, he answered right away. Said he 'thought it was tomorrow ' . Offered to move the next day using stairs. Sorry not good enough considering the time constraints. Inexcusable for a moving company to make this kind of error!!!!!

While moving from Philadelphia, Pa. to New York the movers got a parking ticket (after being told by the door lady not to park there). So, I was told I would have to pay the ticket. What?? When I spoke to the representative he said it was my responsibility to provide a place for them to park. Or, I should have gotten cones to mark a spot for the truck. What???? No where is that written in the contract. And, when I spoke this man on the phone he was rude. The door lady spoke with him to inform him of her warning to the movers. When the movers reached New York they asked my daughter(who was with my three year old grandson) to stand by the truck outside to make sure they did not get a ticket....for quite a long time.Furthermore, my move address was changed  3 weeks before the actual move, and while riding in a train to NY I realized the movers were headed to the wrong address!!!  I had called beforehand, left a voice message, and when I did not receive a call back, I actually spoke with someone at the movers,and was told that would not be a problem.. I could not believe that. Luckily, that was resolved in the eAlso, when I gave a poor review on Thumbtack, the same representative said he still insists I should pay for the ticket in "New York" because I know how limited parking is in NY. Well, the parking ticket was in Philadelphia!! I was moving to NY, and my daughter had to stand in the street with a 3 year old for at least 2 hours!!!Furthermore, I just spoke with the police in Philadelphia and New York and was told it is ILLEGAL for a mover to require a customer to pay for a mover's fine. The ticket is in their name, not mine.. And, the customer does NOT have to find a parking space, go to City hall, or put out cones UNLESS it is specifically written in the contract.

Had a Absolutely horrible experience we've use these movers in the past to move us out of our first house into storage now from storage to our new house they have changed immensely in only 10 months. Majority of our furniture was brand new and now it has nicks, scratches, dents, chips all over it. When the movers where at the storage unit started to argue amongst themselves for roughly 10 minutes it was rather embarrassing and costly!!!Then it took them Double the time it did to load and unload our belongings from our old house to storage then it did from storage to our new house. Along with all the other issues they were 3 hours late!!!!!! We we're moved into our new house by 9:30 pm we have small kids and we were up at 6 that day moving things ourselves which made a long long stressful day! Along with all this I had 3 of my own workers at my New Home waiting to help with the move which I was paying them for helping and being away from their families! You would think this would be enough but nope it gets worse. We were charged full price something that took them 6 hours the first time they moved us took them 10 1/2 hours this time no discount no breaks for the issues he had with his truck or issues I had with his guys or no refund for damages due to his guys. I was told to buy a furniture touch up marker kit and it will make it look like New!! Little does the owner understand that my furniture was like New before his guys man handled it! In closing STAY AWAY They are HORRIBLE!!!!! Not worth the money that was paid they have no integrity or responsibility and very weak leadership from their boss I blame the office for all the issues seems like they don't care about their men nor do they care about the customers. I would like to add that the Owner hasn't called me back like he said he would from Three days ago and further more thinks that a couple of nicks in your furniture is no big deal. Well Dave I've paid a lot of money for my furniture sorry I don't buy cheap Stuff like you may own and I have pride in my belongings. So get off you high horse and become a real small business owner and own up to your short comings. Should be use to it sounds like you have a lot of them lately!
