This guy and his company should are the lowest excuses for human beings on this earth. Suppose to move me at. 4pm. Call telling me they hit traffic and will be late. I try calling back one hour later which I thought was being generous with allowing for traffic and guess what neither Dave or his workers will take my call. Are you kidding me???? Clearly he had pulled this antics with others.  If after reading this you would actually hire this loser, then you get what u deserve.

Wow. So here it is a year after my move, and all the subsequent reviews (once you weed out the forgeries) all play the same tune: the team at LT moving are only slightly less inept at the moving business than the people who built the Chernobyl reactor were at safety standards.No customer satisfaction, no resolution, no return of missing items, no respect, no communication - doesn't it all add up to no good reason for Tomei and company to be allowed to conduct any sort of business?Legitimate complaints are met with bizarre personal attacks - truly the last refuge of someone who has been caught red-handed at their own incompetence. And of course, the whole team backs away into a cowardly little corner when called out.Dear Yelp readers: you are quite better off moving by yourself or, certainly, spending the money on actual professionals who behave like adults. There is a reason that all the one-star reviews seem eerily repetitive - the same ineptitude plays itself out every time this band of clowns takes on a job. Save yourselves the headaches and avoid LT at all costs.

Whatever happened to "I'm sorry?"Six months after my move was finished, Mr. Tomei insists on re-opening my review with a further post.  My post, and and my boyfriend's, consisted of comments relating to the move.  We both stand by our initial posts - from Dave mis-gauging the size of the truck needed to the fact that many of our things arrived crushed, chipped, dented, etc.Dave's responses, by contrast, consist of personal attacks against us.  According to Dave, we are hateful people, bigotry and bias exist in us, I clearly have problems, and we are "Hitler Youth", among other things.  C'mon.  Even if we were Hitler Youth (which we are not), there was no clause in the contract saying that makes it ok for our things to arrive trashed.Dave's posts have never addressed the substance of our concerns, much less offered an apology.  If you want to know what sort of business owner he is, you don't need to read my review or anyone else's - good or bad.  Just read what Dave writes.

I needed a mover recently and found "First Choice" on craigslist. I called Dave on very short notice (less than 48 hours in advance). He answered the phone right away, not necessitating my having to leave a voice message and waiting in anxiety to have my call returned (as I had done with several other movers over the previous few days, thus, making this "short notice"). To make a long story short, he sent two of his guys over and though they had to call to say they were about 20 minutes behind schedule, they did show up 20 minutes later. They went about their business courteously and efficiently. After unloading the truck, they stayed to help assemble some of our furniture that was new and still in boxes. This was a big relief! I'm glad I didn't have the same experience as many of the other reviewers - I usually look at Yelp before hiring a person - but am happy to report that Dave really showed up for me and his folks did a fine job. I consider him a wonderful resource and wouldn't hesitate to call him again in the future.

This was our first time using David's moving company. They were on time, very professional, friendly and efficient. They treated our belongings as their own. They moved us in incredible heat and never once slowed down or complained.  We were moved from Chicago to Elk Grove in just under 3 hours!  Incredible.  We will definitely use them again. I  highly recommend them.
