History

Established in 2012. The recession and job losses in our family is how My DAD and ME 4Hire was born. Moving help quickly became our most requested labor help. So we decided to go with it. Our reputation and the referrals from previous customers has helped our company to grow and expand from a Dad and his son into Generation Movers. We feel very blessed and excited to be able to employ additional local workers who are friendly, knowledgeable, and tenacious! We want to be your movers for Generations to come.

I would use Generation Movers again in a heartbeat. They went above and beyond. These guys never stopped moving from the time they started to the time they left. They took great care with all our stuff. I was not originally going to have them move my Christmas items but they were so good we just had them go ahead. Nest money we ever spent. If you need a mover book these guys.

You really do get what you pay for!Really like these guys. I got 2 other quotes for a fairly small job - Moving some stuff from the basement and 2nd floor to be donated.These folks are definitely more expensive, but WORTH the MONEY. I'll use them again.

We have used these guys twice now and they are amazing! For guys that get paid by the hour, they get things done very quickly. They were extremely curious and professional. PS. They enjoy donuts in the morning!

Brian and his guys were recommended by a friend when I needed to move. My helper broke her ankle at the last moment.Brian and his boys get down to business and do it in a professional way but also in a friendly manner. They shrink wrap everything that needs it and explain why they are doing things a certain way. They loaded my truck in such a way it didn't shift an inch on the highway at all, as it was only 2/3 full. They are WELL WORTH the money for the hard labor they put in.I will use them again soon as this was a temporary move. Richard V.

I have to give a shout out to Brian and his team @ GMI. If I could I wld give them 10 stars, what an amazing amazing experience. I found Brian on of course Yelp! My Yelp family never ever steers me wrong. I called Brian to get some help moving my things into a 12ft storage container as I was saying adios to the I to the L (IL, just in case you didn't get that), however he was not available the dates I needed but he was so kind to point me in the direction of how to find some help. Ok freeze...He sent me elsewhere to get moving help..WHAT WHAT?? Wow... Fast forward, because of this I sent my friend (who was also moving) to Brian as she originally hired some help but they were very unprofessional and she had to find someone else to come back and help the next day because the original company did not finish. Really...no really?? So Brian swooped in (the next day like one day notice) and was just awesome. Now back to me...I changed my move out date just so I could hire GMI to help me and I could not have been more thrilled. He sent not 2 but 3 wonderful, amazing, professional...and hilarious guys to help. I tried to help but I think I made it worse...LOL. They finished packing up my container in just under 2 HOURS!! 2 bed..2 bath apt....Let me repeat..in just under 2 hours..A... Freaking... Mazing.... that included taking apart a huge king sized bed frame, a dining room table and wrapping all the fragile stuff in moving saran wrap (as I call it). Brian even stopped by with 3 other guys to make sure things were moving along. I have never ever had such a great experience with a moving company. Hands down the best in the business and I have used...let me see..1,2,3,4...diff moving companies in the past. Generation Movers is the BEST!! If you don't know you better ask somebody. Heck you can even message me and I will tell you personally.Brian and his team made my move so much less stressful and I will always be thankful for that.THANK YOU GENERATION MOVERS!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!
