We were gone for more than a year with all our belongings in a public storage in Emeryville. On incredibly short notice NorthStar was able to book us an appointment to move. Victor and his team let us know their ETA day of and met us at the storage space. They got our whole unit loaded up in about an hour, for our 2 bedrooms worth of stuff. They also extra wrapped my family's tansu. They got everything into our new place really quickly, as well. All in all it was great and we would def recommend their services.

We have done two moves through NorthStar. One move was between two apartments in the same apartment complex. The second between two counties in the Bay Area. Both times we used a crew run by Nelson. Nelson's crew in particular is very professional and polite. Nelson brought 3 strong employees with him and a truck that had plenty of space. They were mindful of other residents in our building and security -- the whole time they were focused on the task. We were happy that they brought a lot of moving blankets to keep our bigger furniture pieces safe. They carefully disassembled quality lamps, bed frames, and bookshelves and reassembled them afterwards.Both times we didn't have to stress about how well our belongings were handled or if schedules will be kept. In the Bay Area it's rather common that you are only granted limited timeslots to use freight/moving elevators and NorthStar abided by those timeslots perfectly.If the rest of NorthStar's staff is as professional as Nelson and the team he brings, then I believe this moving company truly is one of the best options in the Bay Area. We will be sure to continue requesting Nelson's help when we use NorthStar again in the future.

I've moved a lot - all around the Bay Area, halfway across the country and back again - so I've worked with quite a few movers.  These guys are definitely one of the best (I've used them twice to cross the Bay).  I was told a team of 3 guys would come and instead 4 showed up!  They hustled like nobody's business.  They were kind, fun to chat with and took great care of my items. They weren't cheap, but in this business, you absolutely get what you pay for.  I'm praying to all seven gods (the old and the new) that I never have to move again.  However, if I do, I know who I will be calling.

We had an excellent experience and couldn't have been happier !From the beginning of the process till the end, everything was smooth and professional.Michael Pomeroy was our estimator, he promised we wouldn't pay more than the estimation and we paid less. He kept contact with us frequently till the big day, he did a great job with us.The Client Loyalty Team (Wendy and Alma) have been always helpful, clear and the moving team, impressive. They know their job for sure ! In 2 days, they packed, delivered and helped a lot with unpacking and building our furnitures.It was 2 months ago, thank you Northstar !We highly recommend them !

Overall great moving experience!They came on time and were very professional throughout the entire process. They did a very thorough and efficient job with everything! I hate moving but North Star made this a painless experience.
