Guess someone at NorthStar read my review, because a Senior Manager called me the next day, LOL! So this update is for the epilogue, and not the shitty 1 star experience that still stands.It was surprising how detailed the notes they kept were - every failed phone call or email corroborated with my narrative, so they were able to break down where exactly everything went to shit and the why.Don't get me wrong - my move still sucked. I still lost plenty of time and money, and my story could have been much improved with literally two minutes on the phone that entire week. I'd give up any of these paltry reparations for the smooth move I expected.But when they say they actually care about their consumers, I can start to believe it. They tried plenty to do right by me afterwards plus taking notes for steps on how to prevent this for other customers.This all sounds like a fat load of PR BS, and part of it might be. But from the actual people I met at my homes, I'd like to believe it isn't.

These guys are great! They showed up on time, great communication through out the whole ordeal. It took the pain out of moving. These guys are fast too! They had our stuff wrapped up snug and tight and had it loaded before I knew it. I know that moving during the summer is hot but these guys just pushed forward. Would definitely use them again!

Great service!! I moved from San Mateo to Walnut Creek... total time was 4.5 hours. The guys were very professional, quick and efficient. They managed some very heavy items I had including a 100lb stationary bike without any fuss. Booking was a breeze and they called to confirm the morning before.  They carefully wrapped all of my fragile items, which was nice as I had a coffee table that was on its last leg and wasn't sure would make the move. My last move was maybe a couple miles away from each apartment location and that took three hours alone, so to move across the bay with only 1.5 hours more was amazing. The pricing is also incredibly fair... you never know with "extras" what it will cost all said and done. I will definitely use North Star again if I am moving throughout the Bay Area!

We were moving apartments within the same building that had a small elevator, and we had A LOT of furniture: TV, TV stand, l-shaped couch, heavy large dresser, heavy queen sized bed, bed stands, dining table, desk, monitor. They were punctual and had arrived early - they notified us that they were ready whenever we were and for us to take our time! :) The guys were AMAZINGLY fast and efficient. They were respectful and very careful with our furniture. They did a great job disassembling and reassembling the large pieces of furniture. They even helped move two of our closets! They set the furniture in just the right places, were communicative and professional.They also sent a very thorough email with all the information, great at following up, and easy paperwork. We highly recommend this moving company!
