680 Movers

I called to get a quote and see whether 680 Movers could help me with some furniture -- no boxes, just furniture -- from one location to another. What Crystal told me over the phone sounded fairly reasonable. However, when I received the quote via email, it detailed that moving and driving were separate charges, and that moving had a minimum of a three-hour charge. Not what I had interpreted our conversation to mean (she gave me a reasonable estimate that just wouldn't have worked with this formula). So I emailed back to confirm whether I understood it correctly (because if I did, it wasn't a price I could agree to). I didn't receive a response, so I called the next day and got Crystal on the phone again. After finding my email (which she apparently hadn't read yet), she confirmed my understanding, and requested I send an email confirming that I wanted to cancel and she would take care of it. I emailed as requested.I didn't get a response, but trusted it would be taken care of, so I continued with my move (via U-Haul and elbow grease) and didn't think about it for a few days.When I checked my bank again, I saw a $100 charge on my account from 680 Movers, so I called to work out what that was. I left a voicemail with my name and number and why I was calling. I followed up with an email. Neither were returned. Over the next few days I have called at different times of the day only to be met by voicemail.I understand if a company is busy, but it's been over a week now, and no one has responded to my voicemails or email? I had to contact my bank to file a dispute -- I would have much rather left a review for responsiveness, even if I didn't use their service after all.Be aware if you're in a similar situation as me -- just getting a quote. Don't hand out your card details until you have a quote in writing.

I had a short time frame to move and 680 movers accommodated me. Crystal was fantastic when I set up the move. Michael and Oscar were excellent! They were very careful with all of my things and were very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend 680 Movers and would use them again!

We moved from Berkeley to Lafayette and had a great experience with Akmal and Louis. They were extremely thorough and thoughtful in packaging fragile furniture and decor, and in generally picking up on some of the areas where we fell short. We did not suffer any damage or filth to our belongings. It was awesome and impressive. These guys were polite and worked so resiliently despite the likely infuriating inefficiency of having to load all our stuff from the fourth floor of our apartment building, down the elevator, and out through the parking garage where they had to park their truck. They were great at what they did!

Michael and T were amazing and worked diligently to make sure that my move went smoothly. Even with an annoying parking situation due to my old complex's policies, they were very understanding and bent over backwards for us. Would certainly recommend to anyone.

Very polite, clean, fast, no damage to my belongings!  Super!!!  Will definitely choose these guys again!
