This was our third move in the East Bay w/680 Movers. Somewhat overcharged: material costs were outlined and estimated. Then on the day of, the summary of used materials is listed on a piece of cardboard... and totals less than the estimate by about $100.Sadly, they charged full price. Positively: They moved our things mostly without damage. They did arrive in their scheduled window.

680 Movers did a spectacular job when I had to move in a hurry!  When my apartment was hammered with flooding after our recent crazy rains, I had to relocate within my complex and get out quick. I called 680 Movers on Tuesday (based on those 4  1/2 Yelp stars, and the comfort of seeing them around all over my local area as their name advises), provided my general info and asked a few questions, and between a couple emails and phone calls with Crystal, my Saturday morning move was booked! No 'last minute' booking fee, no hesitation or qualms about any of my circumstances, just good business. It was a relief to feel like I was already in good hands amidst this stressful situation.  The arrival window Saturday morning for my movers was between 8 and 9, and Adrian and Alvaro showed up promptly at 8:15! They just asked for a quick tour to explain my needs (a portion of my kitchen still needed to be packed up and I had a large closet for loading, one art piece I had notified Crystal needed special handling and care, and my large bedframe and headboard would need to be disassembled and reassembled to get it out of my ground floor apartment and comfy in my new upstairs apartment) - that whole conversation took less than 2 minutes, I asked what they needed from me or should I just stay out of the way, and they immediately got to work! I provided water, soda and donuts which they were very thankful for. Along with some help from friends, Adrian and Alvaro took over and got all my stuff moved in 3 hours and 15 minutes, exactly what I expected and priced EXACTLY as quoted - actually it was less than expected, which was a nice surprise! They are total professionals, no lollygagging, just focused and intense workers. It was really impressive to watch them work - 3 boxes up the stairs at a time, loaded on their backs, OMG!!  They even went above and beyond and offered to help me put things away. I 100% recommend 680 Movers - if you've never used pro movers before, they will blow your mind like they did mine! They've officially set the bar high for me, they're my gold standard. I can't thank the whole team enough for making my move so simple and seamless - they took over during a stressful time and let me be assured that everything would be ok at the end of moving day. Peace of mind is quite priceless.

My boyfriend and I just moved from Fremont to Berkeley last weekend, 1 bedroom space.Crystal was great and responded in a timely fashion with the arrangements. They were able to accommodate me in less than 2 weeks - really cool.The company may be based in Concord, and our movers were Daniel and Ricardo. They came within the window that they said they would. They were on time, nice, funny, professional. Although we had already boxed everything, they further packed all our things nicely with their tape and plastic wrap. We were concerned the big Sectional couch wouldn't make the move, but they took it apart and reassembled it at our new place. They did decline to move a box of drinking glasses because they were afraid it would break, which is fair. Our quote was for 3 hours, and with both stairs and elevators, we did end up closer to 4 hours, which is fine too. Very fair and competitive pricing. Overall, we had a pretty smooth experience, and the guys really know what they're doing. I would definitely recommend them to a friend or use them again if we move again in the future. These guys are pretty great as long as you make sure you talk to the right people.   Talk to Crystal in the office, and ask for Boris to do the move.   He makes sure that you're taken care of and overall that his team doesn't screw up anything.Boris has been doing it a while and definitely brings the whole professional aspect of moving into the picture.  In fact, they totally kept everything clean and was able to help move my pieces to the right areas.They do charge per hour, and for drive time, so make sure you know that in advance.  Their quotes are very detailed and make sure you read everything.   They're fantastic if you know all of this in advance.   If you don't get Boris, then... I'm not sure how the other teams are so I can't speak for them.

I am using 680 movers for the second time in 9 months. That says it all, don't you think?   The office staff to the movers themselves are top rated in my opinion.
