Route 66 Moving

I never have posted a yelp review before, but this called for on. Route 66 is the worse and most unprofessional moving company that I have had to deal with. I was moving across country over 2,000 miles, so I knew that money could not be an issues. After reviewing many of the positive yelp reviews, I decided to book with them. They were able to come to my house on the day that I wanted to pick up my items, and we had a confirmed delivery date of 4 days later which they mentioned would be an extra fee ( ok, no problem, I understand). I also asked what the additional fee would be for them packing up my items that were fragile, they quoted be $99 an hour and they would bring the materials (again, I understand). I wasn't moving a large amount of items as I was starting over it my new state. They arrived at the end of the window of the quoted time and moved fairly fast, everything was going great. They didn't bring enough wardrobes, I asked for 6 and they were short a few so my clothes had to just lay in a box. As they were what they thought were finished, they had not done any of my fragile items, which I showed them when they walked in. The very nice man who was there said they don't do that and they don't have the materials...excuse me but why didn't you mention this two hours ago, when I showed you and talked to you about it. Got on the phone with the office, they said there was a miscommunication and they "were looking for a driver in the area" to bring stuff. Welp, nope they didn't, I had to go to buy $200 of materials myself and assist in the packing, I wish I would have known this ahead of time. My items left my house, and as they were leaving I asked the two men again if they were the ones delivering the items, they were not. So Wednesday I call to get a window for Thursday the 29th, the lady mentioned they don't have me scheduled for delivery and my items were still in California....this is not ok. I asked her what happened and she said the new person quoted me the wrong information and it would be 3 weeks. This is unacceptable, I asked to speak to the manager, and after 4 different people, and Natalie hanging up on me, I had confirmation of my items for Saturday delivery, at three times the cost they quoted me. At this point they were in possession of my items so I had to agree to the cost and I wanted a bed to sleep on. I had another window for my items to be delivered on Saturday, well guess what 15 minutes after my scheduled window, I called the company and they tell me it would be another 4 hours. With no warning and after I have already been sitting in my place waiting for them. They wanted to move into my apartment building at 9pm, which is ridiculous and they would be there until midnight. I said absolutely not, as that is outside the time frame that the apartment allows for move in and move outs. Finally we settled on Sunday morning. This was the most stressful move of my life, and I do not recommended them to anyone. They show no empathy, and do not take into consideration the mover. There is no communication among the staff and they are all on a different page with what is going on, and no one seems to ever have a reasonable answer about their services. Best part was that the cost went up because they have never done a cross country move before which is a lie, because someone else yelped about their move and the delivery guy told me they do it all the time. THINK TWICE PEOPLE BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

GREAT COMPANY to work with! It was a long process, due to some miscommunications, BUT they (Mike?) worked with us through the misunderstandings and delivered an extremely professional result!The movers (Art, Leugen, & Victor) themselves worked extremely hard on-stop. Ask for them by name! We'd definitely utilize the company again! We'd just make sure to cross our "Ts" first to avoid any confusion.

I just hired them . Initially, I had great difficulty getting the sales rep to return a call which caused frustration. Then, Mike the owner reached out & I met him . He seems like a very nice guy and willing to please his customers. I'm moving in a week, therefore will write a proper review shortly after after my move .

THESE GUYS ROCK! Helped us move a 6000 sq. foot office space with ease and efficiency.Will never look for another moving company again.Thank you!

Did a great job. Used our matress as a plunger to get stuff into their truck. Couldn't get everything on their truck, so they brought it in their personal cars.
