Beware of Walsh.  I found their ad in the Christian directory.  I had their movers move me in late March.  The guys showed up at my door asking to be "hooked up" for moving me quickly before they even loaded the truck.  Much to my chagrin, the moving crew damaged several items, including a major household appliance.  These guys even managed to cut the water line on my refrigerator! When I contacted Walsh to complain, Ralph was extremely kind and very helpful in providing me with the paperwork to file a claim.  Tom, however was a living and breathing nightmare.  Completely unprofessional.  He claimed to have cut a check which I never received.  When I called to inquire about the check's whereabouts (after waiting and not receiving the check he mailed seven days prior) he was extremely argumentative.  I asked if he would stop payment on the check and reissue.  He became increasingly perturbed stating  "I'm not an idiot, I'm looking at a check stub".  I ultimately received the check, however it had been mailed without postage!!! After dealing with this company, I have to wonder where true customer service and professionalism has gone.  What company that wants to stay in business, addresses paying customers in that manner?  Oh, I know...Walsh Moving & Storage!! :(

If you don't mind the guys looking a little rough around the edges, they were truly awesome. We were worried since we just worked with sketchy electricians, plumbers and contractors, but these guys just went to work and finished in the allotted time of just 2 hours. Frank and Vern really worked hard for us.  They joked around a bit, but that made them totally approachable (good thing because we're tiny, serious, weary asian peeps. They were so not), so we just kept adding to the pile of things to-be-moved.  The price was really fair, especially since they worked so fast. Most places I called had a minimum of 3-4 hours, but the minimum at Walsh was just 2 hours. A lot faster and cheaper compared to 3-4 hours, or renting a truck yourself, or hiring young bucks who don't know what they're doing. These guys even remembered the bed placements and matching the mismatched box springs right!

Our family used Walsh Moving & Storage for multiple moves around R. Beach.  Their service is great.  Recently, they helped us move from an upstairs apartment to a condo.  The staff was friendly and efficient.  They took good care of the fragile items by wrapping the TV and frames in blankets.  They also took care of our potted plants.  They placed items by following directions on marked boxes.We don't plan to move for a while...but will definitely recommend to others.

We were extremely frustrated with the lack of communication that has been demonstrated by Walsh Moving and Storage.  We felt that at our move was not handled with the priority it deserves, nor it was handled in a professional manner. For example: 1. Pick up date was arranged for the last day before flying out of AL 2. Walsh Truck arrived to the pickup location with 2 assistance only. 3. Walsh Truck had no availability of storage space for our items. 4. It took 15 hours for loading 12,000 lb of items. 5. Failing to do inventory list of items and not given us the chance to do a final walkthrough after the move. 6. Moving our 2nd shipment items more than once in which it has increased the chance for breakage, loss, and damages:                          1) Moved to the garage area                  2) Moved to a rental truck                  3) Moved to a Storage Facility in Gadsden AL                  4) To be moved to a truck again 7. Promising a final delivery date by July 29 and failing to deliver on that day, Items were delivered on August 28, 2010. 8. Failing to update or communicate with us in regards to any changes in the contract.

I hired Walsh Moving and they delivered as advertised. Larry and Cecil moved swiftly and handled my items with care. Tom approved the Yelp discount. I am pleased with the overall experience and would recommend them for anyone looking to make a move.
