Wow, I saw the other reviews and am surprised. I have used them twice over the last 3 years. Each time it was to ship furniture and household items from So Cal to Dallas. Each time the experience was fantastic as far as the customer service goes.If you are considering using ABF I suggest you be flexible regarding the trip. You may set yourself up for disappointment if you are super locked into a pick up and delivery date.The first trip was delayed by a day due to a mechanical problem with the truck. However, the real time tracking information keeps you up to date about your shipment.As their name implies, YOU PACK your stuff. If you do a lousy job of packing your items they will definitely shift around during the ride. These trailers are not air ride. They are bouncy and things move around. Pack your things in boxes and get them as tight as possible.U Pack is not a moving company. They just provide you a trailer and a ride. I believe that they do that extremely well.I am having the valuable furniture items in our house moved by a professional moving company. They measure their fees by weight. I used U Pack to carry a large load of non-fragile items at a much lower cost.I suggest you do your homework si your expectations are properly set. If you decide U Pack is the way to go for you, I think you will find their people are top notch.

I've moved cross county two times with UPack and both times they were amazing--start to finish.  The drivers and dispatch folks in Pacoima are particularly helpful.  They arrived right on time for delivery and drop-off and they were really nice.   After leaving LA, I had to store my stuff for a month and was a little concerned about the heat and wildfire danger.  When I called UPack for a billing question, I asked about the fire danger and was told that they watch for weather/fire/other hazards and will move cubes out of harms way if necessary.  I would never move any other way.

U-Pack was very easy to work with, they delivered the trailer  (to be loaded) on time, they picked up the trailer on time, and nothing broke!!  The only caveat, was that they were a week late in delivering our trailer to unload.  But overall, comparing to some of the horror stories I've heard of, it was relatively painless. You basically just have to make sure to pack clothes for a two week vacation.  I would definitely use them again.

Without hesitation I give U-Pack the highest rating.  My positive experience on the phone with them, their very competitive rate, the courtesy of the initial dispatch contact, the driver who delivered my trailer, the local dispatch contact and local driver who delivered my trailer at the final destination - was all good.  Without incident, my move was successful with U-Pack.  I will use them again.

I'm surprised how many negative reviews there are for this company! I had a very positive experience! I did SO much research on moving companies and PODS and so on and this was definitely the best option for people on a budget! Charged us $1050 to move our stuff from Denver to LA on a trailer in 3-5 business days when PODS quoted us a base price of $1600 for less space.As in the title, you pack it yourself so its playing Tetris for a few hours on how to get your stuff to fit in your allotted space in the trailer. PACK it tight! Stuff will move and shift around while driving. Thankfully nothing was broken or lost during the move. Everyone was very helpful before, during and after the trailer was dropped off and picked up. Now I am giving it 4 stars because the day of the arrival was a bit tricky. They do not do drop offs or pick ups on weekends. Our trailer was supposed to arrive on a Friday unsure of a time. We got a call Thursday night saying our trailer had arrived in Los Angeles but if a driver wasn't available to drop it off in the North Hollywood area we would have to wait until Monday to receive our trailer....So our trailer would just be sitting in a ABF facility less than 30 minutes away over the weekend because a driver wasn't available...that didn't make much sense to me after we were told it would be there no later than Friday because they picked up on a Monday morning. Other than that I had no issues with this company. No hidden fees and no sketchy business!
