TLS Van Lines lugged everything up those stairs without complaint. No damage to furniture, walls, or floors. I would happily use TLS again for my next move.They are extremely professional and efficient, as well as very friendly and helpful. Their prices are also very good and fair for what they do. I'd definitely use them again. Thanks guys!

TLS Van Lines was great. I worked with Valerie, and she was clear about everything. I was able to call her anytime and get questions answered. And she was very patient when I asked some questions twice.We were moving from Los Angeles, CA to Austin, TX. I was so nervous since I have heard so many horror stories about using a moving company. This was the first time I used one. I found that the pricing was cheaper than other big companies so I took a chance.I packed my own boxes, but they came at their schedules time and packed/wrapped all of our furniture and loaded the boxes quickly and efficiently. They are organized and label every single box and item with a numbered tag. Its a very organized process which is why they didn't lose any of my items. Upon arrival in Texas, everything was there. Not one thing was broken. Even some large pictures that I didn't get a chance to box (they wrapped them in blankets) arrived unharmed.Some things to note:They came to our Los Angeles home with a 26ft truck. But then our items were transferred to an 18 wheeler for cross-country travel. Our items arrived on an 18 wheeler with other families things. You must make sure that your new place can accommodate this huge truck otherwise you'll have to pay a fee for them to shuttle your items on a smaller truckThey will charge extra for stairs. At first I wasn't too happy about it, but then, when I saw how many trips up the stairs they had to make, and how hard it was, I completely understand.I noticed that other peoples boxes in the truck appeared smashed. This is because they did't fill their boxes correctly/all the way to the top, and when stacked they started to collapse. I made sure all the boxes where filled to the top, and empty spaces were filled tight with sheets and towels, etc. Remember, your stuff is driving for days on a huge truck and the bouncing up and down will eventually collapse your boxes. Try to put everything in a box. Loose items are more difficult for them to handle and makes the process go slower. My boxes arrived in perfect condition.Speaking of boxes, make sure you just go and buy boxes from home depot or something. I bought 3 different size boxes and it was easy or Valerie to calculate my square footage because I didn't have a ton of use boxes with varying sizes. It also makes it much easier to pack your boxes in the truck and it will take up less space.You are charged for the amount of space to take up on the trucks. And the price varies depending on the amount. I took up about 800 sq feet and I was charged about $3.40 per square foot. You must understand that if you don't give the correct amount of boxes and furniture at the time of the estimate, that your price for moving could vary greatly. Make sure you tell the about EVERY SINGLE ITEM, or your quote could be way off. Even mention the laundry hamper and vacuum cleaner.I was very pleased with my service. They are professional and know what they are doing.The contracts explain EVERYTHING very clearly and I didn't have any surprises. Our stuff arrived in 7 days. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
