I hired Alpine Relocation to handle my move a few weeks ago and just received my belongings. The guys did a great job! Nothing was broken. The cost was $2300, as we initially agreed, plus they charged me $50 for crating my 2 TV's (I knew I had to pay extra if I wanted to crate my TV's).  The movers couldn't park the truck near my house and had to rent a shuttle for me that they didn't charge for. I  am very happy with their work and will use them again. Highly recommend!

Interesting review by Hambikp P. because when I called Alpine Relocation on 10/18/2016 to discuss (once again) MY concerns, I was told that "Tony" was no longer working there.  It was implied that he was fired.   Ken H. is right.  Alpine is not a moving company but rather a broker.  How do I know?  Because when I inquired about the payment process I as told that I would need to pay 50% of the total charges Immediately to "reserve the date." They were happy to bill my VISA. But when the truck would actually arrive I would owe the remainder to the driver IN CASH.  After they charged my VISA, I was told, well maybe the truck would pick up a couple of days before or after the date I had "reserved."  This would not work for me and I realized that this company was likely not reliable. They have since refused to refund any of my "deposit" although I cancelled the booking within 24 hours (actually 18 hours) of reserving. Two Alpine employees have told me that they tape record every call but they do not inform you of that unless you have a problem with them.  I do not know if they actually record all calls but I do know that if they do so without informing you prior to the conversation it is against the law. When I put these charges in dispute with my credit card issuer, Alpine sent them documents on which they had forged my initials. They continue to insist that I did not cancel within 48 hours of the booking although I have clear documentation that I did so.I can only guess that their moving services are as fraudulent as their billing practices. There are many competent and honest moving companies out there.  Alpine is not one of them.  If you value your time and money you will look for someone else.

DO NOT use this broker if you value your money or your stuff. These guys pulled a HUGE bait and switch on me and I am dealing with the fallout in the middle of my move, right this very moment. What Alpine told me explicitly on the phone multiple times wasn't at all what the guy who showed up at my door said, a guy who works for a different company who gave me an estimate for DOUBLE what Alpine estimated despite the inventory list matching exactly. They quoted me a low price to suck me in and now it's doubled. So many other lies too. I am furious. I called the emergency number on the voicemail and the guy said he would "reach out to his dispatch" and hung up. Now he's not answering the phone.I will update this review with more detail when I have time and I can see straight.**UPDATE**Still livid but I will keep this unemotional.Monday after posting this review I got a call from Alpine customer service saying they were upset I had posted a bad review and I needed to take it down while they helped me resolve this issue. I have not taken the review down pending resolution.Since then I have received no calls back from this company to resolve the issue. I have been calling regularly since June. Every time I call someone's out of the office / in the hospital / on vacation / going to call me back later / going to have a manager call me. I probably need an attorney.Alpine farmed my business out to a different, terribly rated, more expensive company, and took a 20% cut for doing so. They assured me they were not a broker but a moving "agency" and they owned their own trucks so the prices could stay low. Lie. They promised my furniture would be professionally disassembled, wrapped, loaded and put into storage for free until I could take delivery in my new state. I was to be charged $.55/lb. The movers were to weigh the truck empty, load it, then drive to a scale and get a certificate for the weight. My final bill would be based on that amount. I spent over an hour on the phone with Alpine asking questions, reviewing the contract, requesting clarified versions of the contract where the language was vague. The salesperson (Sandy) was patient with me as she repeatedly explained how it would go. She pointed to their 5-star reviews on Yelp and that finally sold me. (I missed all the one star reviews relegated to the gray section because the posters weren't regular Yelpers. Should have paid closer attention. Upon closer inspection several other recent 5 star reviews appear to be from friends of Sandy's all posted in the same week after I updated this review.)On moving day 3 workers, one English speaker among them, showed up late at my curb with a Budget rental truck. They looked at my belongings, re-quoted the quote I already had, and doubled the price... And they refused to use the weight measurement saying instead they go by cubic feet (which seems suspect since they would be motivated to load the truck loosely). The English speaker talked fast like a used car salesman. I could tell he did this spiel often. I told them they were contractually obligated to go by weight and I immediately put on the brakes and called Alpine for help.Alpine's recording had an emergency weekend phone number. I called... must have been someone's cell because a sleepy guy answered with a grunt (at noon). I told him what was going on and he replied "I'll call dispatch" and hung up.  I never received a call from "dispatch". I tried the cell number again but my calls were ignored. I was desperate. I had to drive cross country to start a new job in 3 days. I didn't have the option of leaving everything in the apartment I gave notice on and finding a better mover on the weekend. So I signed the new contract. Now after my careful discussion with Alpine, this other one-star moving company *probably* has all of my stuff in a warehouse in SoCal. (If you want to see the other company's one star Yelp reviews, look up "R & R Moving & Storage" and see some stunning photos of broken furniture and smashed boxes.) My stuff never got weighed. I have to pay the final balance in cash or money order so there will be no credit card company to appeal to if they hit me with extra fees or my stuff is ruined/missing. Oh and the movers left my brand new sectional sofa behind, and a bunch of other belongings that I had to pile on a curb because my car was full.Alpine got their $ so has no motivation to help me resolve this. Kelly at Alpine blames the company THEY hired. (After I posted this review Alpine even tried reporting it to Yelp as if I had reviewed the wrong company.) Diana at R&R meanwhile blames Alpine. The finger pointing continues whenever I can get anyone to answer the phone. Still zero calls back from managers: Mike (R&R) or Tony (Alpine). As far as I can figure the owners of both companies are probably together laughing and counting all their money on a private plane to the Cayman Islands.

I moved from Arizona to California. I moved my 2 bedroom house with Alpine Relocation and I couldn't be happier! The movers were extremely professional and they gave me the best price around. I've moved with other companies before but now that I've gone through Alpine I recommend them to anyone I know thats moving. They came on time and they delivered my stuff after 2 days and the price stayed the same. I payed 1300 total for my move and they made sure to coordinate everything with me. They made sure I was there to receive my items because I had a couple stops to make on the way there. All in all, wonderful company! If youre moving go through Alpine.
