I hate moving. Sometimes you need a truck bigger than a personal one to get your stuff from one place 40 miles away to another place and that's where UHaul comes in. While I did have some issues reserving a truck, the price remained the same as the original quote. We also had ordered and drove a trailer from Michigan and had no troubles returning it to San Antonio. This place has over priced packaging materials too if you desperately need it. A fun fact: They will sell and mount a trailer hitch to your vehicle for about $120 here with a lifetime guarantee.

I knew I should have turned around when I saw that two of the customers in front of me were absolutely livid with U-Haul. One lady was demanding to get her moving truck, which she had reserved, but couldn't be found, while she was paying for a bunch of movers hourly and didn't have a truck. I came in to rent a trailer, and had to patiently stand around for a rather lengthy amount of time to get to me. All the while, workmen were installing new signage behind the register which only compounded the confusion. The employees all seemed to be on their first or second day, and had no clue what they were doing. The only one who seemed to know was the owner, and he seemed more interested in making sure that the signs were properly hung than making sure that the customers' needs were being met. After they helped the screaming man who couldn't use the trailer they rented him, they helped me. Slowly, slowly, slowly, doing everything several times "because the system didn't like that." I found it weird that they asked me for a personal reference, and their number, like they're going to call them and ask if I'm cool to rent a trailer to. I figured that my trailer hitch would work with their trailer, but when I got out to the lot, it wouldn't attach. So back I went in, and went through the process again to get my money back. The whole ordeal was a nightmare. I ended up hiring a guy with a trailer to help instead.

This place sucks! On a Sunday morning at 11 am there is 15 people in line...2 guys working the desk! We have been waiting 45 minutes to rent a trailer! Don't be in a hurry! Please please hire more help. This is ridiculous! Everyone in line is frustrated!!!

I moved from McAllen to San Antonio , and what a difference in customer service! In McAllen they didn't care to help me in anyway and really just wanted my money and to leave them alone. It's like the more questions I asked the more irritated they got. Unlike here in San Antonio, what a difference! Super friendly, helpful, Antonio's customers service was outstanding!!!! I had almost decided to boycott uhaul until i had this great experience. Thank you San Antonio San Pedro !!

Awful. Crooked. We will never use UHaul or Ubox again because of this rotten experience. Paid over $1800 in advance to move my one u-box to Texas from Florida. Once it arrived at the uhaul in San Antonio, they held it  and demanded an additional $140 to bring it to my home. This was not disclosed in advance. The agent back in Florida tried to negotiate with the San Antonio office and eventually (after a week of waiting) they told her they would bring us the box and not charge us. They brought the box, but then ran my card for $220. When I called the office to complain, they pretended like they didnt know anything about it. Had to go around in the circle again and get Florida agent to contact them and threaten to sue. Finally San Antonio agent apologized for the "mix up" but Florida agent had to handle refund. Use ABF Upack instead. Cheaper and no corrupted business practices.  Used them a few years ago and they were GREAT. Only reason I tried U-Box was they quoted me a cheaper rate, but after they hold your belongings hostage and demand extra money, thats when you realize its actually cheaper to use ABF upack. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Go elsewhere.
