If I could leave no stars that would be my rating.  We had an 8 am appointment and they didn't show up till 4:30 pm.  Then they damaged my front door, refrigerator, and broke my TV stand.  They say they are 100 % insured but have yet to pay for any damages and won't return my calls.  I think it's ironic how they say they donate money for cancer but they are screwing this cancer survivor over.  Horrible business!!

This company--Layden, specifically--provided the most unprofessional experience I've ever had. The day of my move, I was texted and told I'd be pushed back to the next day because of a truck issue. On the day of my rescheduled move, Layden kept texting me further delays, saying he couldn't give me a definite start and finish time. He eventually cancelled on me (while abruptly hanging up) because I refused to permit him to lock my things on his truck overnight. My detailed review is posted on the thumbtack review page along with the texts, and Layden had the nerve to respond by claiming I made the whole thing up and faked text messages. His responses to other dissatisfied customers on thumbtack capture his horrible, unprofessional attitude perfectly. Layden is the most pathetic excuse of a business owner I've ever come across. If they were registered with the BBB, they'd be put out of business by now.

WARNING... DO NOT use these movers!!! This company was recommended to us through a mutual friend. We were already booked with a great moving company, but wanted to help out a new business so we went ahead and called the owner Layden. My husband expressed his concern for the safety of our furniture because over the years and after a couple moves we've had some scrapes and damages here and there. Layden assured him that he had the best moving guys around and that nothing would happen to our furniture. Layden then discussed their insurance policy with us and said that it was "a joke" but that he would "take care" of any damages made and that we didn't need to worry. We have moved several times and it has never taken longer than six hours with two movers. Three movers showed up thirty minutes late (one above the age of 50) who was not comfortable lifting things and had us sign a paper stating that they showed up at the time listed.... Which was not correct. Our move took a whopping 12 HOURS with less furniture than we had ever had before. They crushed our washing machine and dropped our China cabinet off the truck shattering all the glass and breaking and splintering the wood. None of the boxes were placed in the rooms they were supposed to be in. The movers made one big pile in our living room and left them all there, stating that they would place them in the correct rooms when they were finished.... Yeah... That never happened. After two truckloads and 12 hours of moving the movers still had more to get from our previous home. We told them that we were done and that we were not gonna pay them for any more time. My husband called later and let Layden know about our broken furniture and washing machine and said that he was not comfortable paying the bill until he spoke with him in person. Laden told us that was not an option and that we needed to pay that night and that he would meet us the next morning and assess the damage. He NEVER showed. Day after day my husband called and left messages and spoke with Layden who was rude and acted offended and pompous every time they spoke. He stated that his movers told him that our things were already broken. ??? These people are crooks and liars. The last day my husband called, Layden threatened him and said, "you can take $600 for your China cabinet and washing machine or I will go ahead and file the claim with my insurance and you'll get a lot less. You choose." SERIOUSLY??? This man should not own a business! He is rude and dishonest in his business tactics. We are very nice people and I have never written a review before about anything, but I feel that the public should be warned..... Look elsewhere!!!!

Here we are almost 9 months later and still no word from Layden or payment from Big Buck movers for the damages they incurred while moving us. Just recently my wife found more damages while organizing the garage. Just sad! I really hope and pray anyone reading this review will look for a more reliable and honest moving company, otherwise your taking your home furnishings out of your hands and into dishonest and sloppy hands. Now we're talking loss of money and memories, so Big Buck now is "Big Bucks"!

I was not happy with this moving company. Some of my items were left in the truck and when I called about them instead of receiving a call back I recieved a text and was simply told nothing was found and that the manager would call me but I never received a call from anyone about the matter. I used a Groupon I received for 2 hours of moving and it took the movers less than 2 hours since I have a very small apartment yet I was charged an additional $175 ($75 for a fuel charge to go around the block, and $100 for an extra hour that was not even used). Do not use this company very unprofessional and a waste of money!
