I had a great experience using TMAT 6 months ago so I booked them again for my move today. They are independently owned and I did not realize I booked with a different location than the one I used before. Between college and new jobs I've hired professionals to move my stuff 3-4 times all across the city. Even on my worst move which involved three separate stops it's never taken much more than 4 hours to move. I was moving even fewer items this time because a lot of my stuff is still in storage so I assumed it would probably take 3-4 hours max. It took 7 hours to move my one bedroom apartment 20 minutes down the road. My old place was on the first floor and the new place was on the third, but it had direct access to a frieght elevator which was only being used by one other mover. It took over 2.5 hours just to wrap everything up! They assured me that the unloading would go by much more quicker,  it it took nearly 4.5 hours to make the 20 minute drive and unload the truck. When we finally got to the new location, it was taking so long to unload I told them to just drop the stuff at the front door and I'd unwrap it myself while they brought up the next load. I called halfway through the move to complain, but the GM never called me back. I was only charged for 5 hours, but at $135/Hour this is by far the most expensive move I've ever done, even though I moved fewer items a shorter distance, reassembled everything myself, and helped unwrap the furniture to cut time. The movers were personable, but they were turtle slow compared to the guys I've used in the past, and it seemed like they took as few items up at a time as they could. They showed up at 9:30am and later they told me I was the only move of the day. I guess that's why they took their time. I've had great experiences with TMAT before, but STAY AWAY from this location!

I screwed up by not reading reviews prior clearly! Had the same experience as others. Unprofessional, lazy, complainers work for this company and they happily charge you and take their sweet time. Late arrival due to driver "lost" because I have such a difficult address to find, and it had to have been his navigation system. Unprofessional when completing paperwork. Complained the entire time about the "old lady who owns the company" who doesn't provide them with updated methods to take payment and "only comes to town once a month to check in". We all have issues with our employer but it's unprofessional to speak this way to your customers. The driver also received a "splinter" from taking a part my bed, even after I offered to take it apart myself Him and his crew member took almost a half hour sitting on the floor attempting to take a part and then took 15 min to remove said splinter because he just couldn't go on with it in his hand. Complained out loud overly about my mattress. King size mattress, going down one flight of stairs is a task, I moved it in I know! But two grown men who's career is moving... I didn't expect such whining. Multiple times I noticed them taking breaks on their cellphone. It cost me over $450 for over three hours for them to move one king size bed. One dresser. One bookshelf. 2 paintings. A nightstand. A taken apart table. 4 chairs and about 10 boxes. Yes that's right I only moved MY BEDROOM to a storage facility. Do yourself a favor and give your money to someone else more professional and to a company who cares more to vet their employees before hire.

The worst moving company I've ever used. Would have been better off doing it myself. Unprofessional and damaged many items then refused to make good on reimbursement.

The crew called me before arriving, arrived on time, was diligent and clean and worked hard. They finished ahead of time and made the entire experience smooth and painless!  Thank you so much!
