We moved a 4 bedroom house yesterday to our "dream house". We had some very large and cumbersome pieces, and lots of stuff. We picked these movers after a friend used them with good results. I chose to have an extra man on the move, so we had 4. Can't say enough about their professionalism , courtesy and friendliness. They worked hard and kept a good pace, urging each other to keep up. Great teamwork! No damage, great experience!! Highly recommend this business.

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to this company, its movers, and its owner for their professionalism, kindness, and hard work during a recent move they handled for my parents.  The movers were professional and careful, and the quote was on target.  I recommend them highly if you are looking for hard working, ethical, and professional movers.

These guys moved two houses for us.  The movers damaged some property and knocked a hole in the wall of one of the houses.  I didn't hear from them for two weeks and they didn't return my calls or text.  I finally got a hold of them after threatening to dispute the credit card charge if I didn't hear back.  When the gentleman called he was rude, raised his voice and made the situation very difficult and unpleasant.  This company was recommended by a friend of mine, which is why we chose them. I cannot recommend them myself.

I've only ever used long-distance movers (paid for by employers), but as I've gotten older and gone from being a single guy to married with 3 kids and a 5 bedroom house, I figured it was time to stop guilt-tripping my friends into helping me move and pay someone to do the hard work for me.  I was hesitant about using movers, fearful about the paying by the hour (what if they just loafed around on me, I don't want to be the "boss" and have to crack the whip).  Some coworkers recommended Moving By Design, so I figured thats better than nothing and gave them a call.  The owner came by to give me an estimate, and was rather helpful in also suggesting how large of a storage unit I should get to put all my stuff in while my new house is still being built.  He showed up on time for the estimate, did a thorough yet efficient walk-through, and gave me suggestions on how to get my final bill lowered by strategically packing and breaking down furniture myself before the pros came in to finish packing and move the stuff.  The packers who showed up seemed to be rather experienced, and moved at a good pace throughout the day, and ended up finishing quicker than the estimate (the owner had even come to re-do the estimate before the packers showed up since I had packed some stuff on my own, and the workers finished quicker than the updated estimate).  They finished so quick, they went ahead and broke down some of the furniture to make things quicker on the day the rest of the crew would show up to help with the move.  Moving day showed up, the workers showed up in the window I was given.  6 guys and 2 large trucks (not a small house) and they worked faster than I've ever managed to coax my friends into working when they've helped me move.  I had no reason to worry about pushing the crew to move quickly, they seemed just as motivated to get it done as I was.  They were careful enough with my stuff (I don't have antiques or super high-end furniture, but they handled the piano and stuff just fine) and super-quick.  The crew were friendly and did a good job of asking me about which things I wanted moved, if there was anything I needed access to in the storage unit, etc.  They also finished early, and I ended up getting moved for BELOW the estimate I was given.  The owner might include margin in his estimates, but it's shocking how rarely businesses seem to grasp the concept of under-promising and over-delivering, so it's mighty refreshing when they do!  Moving By Design took a lot of the stress out of a hectic time period as I was about to close on my house, and I couldn't have been any happier with the work they did.

I have used this company 3 times now, turned up on time, very courteous, did not have any damages, well priced.  Would recommend them to friends.
